Summary of the video
The Forest in Flames
They say that the forest was in flames and that all the animals were in danger, but because they were watching the disaster, they did not react.
The little hummingbird, who was very worried, faced the flames. He approached the river and with his little beak took some water and threw it into the fire.
When the jaguar saw him, he what was he doing. The hummingbird breathed and replied that he was trying to put out the fire. The jaguar replied that he would not succeed.
The hummingbird explained to him that he was doing his part, and if they all did the same, each doing their part, they could put out the fire.
Each culture must face the fire so that its language, which is the basis of its identity, does not disappear.
Each word that is pronounced in the native language is one of the drops of the hummingbird, and gives us hope to face the fire that devours Mother Earth. Indigenous people have gathered, shared and built, each doing our part!
