It is currently the most used Spanish-Basque dictionary. Modern dictionary based, on the one hand, on texts in the historic Basque literary tradition since the 16th century but, above all, on texts by the most prestigious contemporary writers. It provides many ways of answering the linguistic demands of a modern urban society.

The original version was published in book form by the Alberdania publishing house, but parts of the dictionary have been subsequently updated, there is more all-round consultation in the electronic version and, if one wants, one can listen to examples.
