Raquel Merino-Álvarez (Scopus Author ID: 57057678300, ResearcherID: H-7347-2015) is Full Professor of Translation. She was co-organizer in the Cultural Transfer (Literature, Cinema, Translation) Conferences (1993- 2006, books available at ADDI digital repository, https://addi.ehu.es/). She has investigated the History of Translations English-Spanish in Audiovisual Media, specifically theatre, first in her 1992 PhD and later on in collaborations with scholars in funded research projects on Translation and Censorship (TRACE). Since 2010 she has been founder and Principal Investigator of Research Group TRALIMA (Translation, Literature and Audiovisual Media, www.ehu.es/tralima), funded and supported by the Basque Government (2010-2015) and UPV/EHU (2013-2019). This group is integrated, with three other UPV/EHU research groups, in UFI 11/06 Network on Language Acquisition, Literature in Multilingual Settings. Prof. Merino co-directed the first TRACE (Translation and Censorship) joint Research Project, integrated by UPV/EHU and University of León researchers and has participated in all TRACE projects, also supervising PhDs in that field. She is currently PI of TRALIMA/ITZULIK and PI2 of IDENTITRA (Translation and Representation of Identity in Multilingual Audiovisual Texts) MINECO funded project (2016-2019). She has taught English and (audiovisual, general, literary) Translation English-Spanish at undergraduate level, and post-graduate and doctorate courses on Translation English-Spanish in various institutions. Currently she participates in UPV/EHU LAMS (Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings) master and doctorate programmes.
