Cluster 5: Climate, energy and mobility What follows is an overview of the European Partnerships in the structure of Horizon Europe following the second strategic plan:
CET: Clean Energy Transition CET Partnership aims to foster transnational innovation ecosystems and overcome a fragmented research and innovation landscape.
DUT: Driving Urban Transitions The Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Partnership is an intergovernmental research and innovation programme addressing key challenges of urban transitions. Their ambition is to shape and facilitate an innovation eco–system so that all urban actors can engage and benefit.
Clean Hydrogen JU The Clean Hydrogen JU contributes to the European climate neutrality goal by producing noticeable, quantifiable results towards the development and scaling up of hydrogen applications.
Clean Aviation Clean Aviation pushes aeronautical science by creating new technologies that will significantly reduce aviation's impact on the planet, enabling future generations to enjoy the social and economic benefits of air travel far into the future.
SESAR JU: Single European Sky ATM Research 3 SESAR JU is harnessing, developing and accelerating the take-up of the most cutting-edge technological solutions to manage conventional aircraft, drones, air taxis and vehicles flying at higher altitudes.
EU-Rail: Europe's Rail This partnership aims to accelerate research and development in innovative technologies and operational solutions. This will support the fulfilment of European Union policies and objectives relevant for the railway sector and the competitiveness of the rail sector and the European rail supply industry.
CCAM: Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility The goal of CCAM is to create a more user-centered and inclusive mobility system, increasing road safety while reducing congestion and environmental footprint.
BATT4EU BATT4EU’s vision is to establish by 2030 in Europe the best in the world innovation ecosystem to boost a competitive, sustainable and circular European battery value chain and to drive the transformation towards a carbon-neutral society.
ZEWT: Zero Emission Waterbone Transport The Partnership will provide and demonstrate zero-emission solutions for all main ship types and services before 2030, which will enable zero-emission waterborne transport before 2050.
2Zero: Zero emission road transport The 2Zero partnership will implement an integrated system approach covering Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEV).
Built4People The Built4People partnership brings together the whole value chain to accelerate people-centric innovation for a sustainable built environment. The partnership aims to catalyse the transition to a people-centric, climate-neutral, sustainable and smart built environment.
Solar Photovoltaics (Pending) This partnership will be a crucial pillar to develop a resilient European solar supply chain, by helping European companies and research institutes to reduce their turnaround time between the laboratory and production phases, with better targeted R&I programmes that will help deliver innovation at scale.
