Baina orduan aho guztiak mutu eta begi guztiak tinko jarri zituen zerbait gertatu zen.

Pero entonces ocurrió algo que hizo callar todas las bocas y quedar fijos todos los ojos.

Mais alors il advint quelque chose qui fit taire toutes les bouches et qui fixa tous les regards.

Then, however, something happened which made every mouth mute and every eye fixed.

Comme il se trouvait juste à mi-chemin, la petite porte s'ouvrit encore une fois et un gars bariolé qui avait l'air d'un bouffon sauta dehors et suivit d'un pas rapide le premier.

When he was just midway across, the little door opened once more, and a gaudily-dressed fellow like a buffoon sprang out, and went rapidly after the first one.

"Aurrera, txankerrea!", oihu egin zion ahots zakarrak, "aurrera, nagi, tranpati, musuzuri!

y cuando estaba ya a un solo paso detrás de él ocurrió aquella cosa horrible que hizo callar todas las bocas y quedar fijos todos los ojos:

tu barres la route à un meilleur que toi!"-Et à chaque mot il s'approchait davantage;

to one better than thyself thou blockest the way!"-And with every word he came nearer and nearer the first one.

Zaratustra, en cambio, permaneció inmóvil, y justo a su lado cayó el cuerpo, maltrecho y quebrantado, pero no muerto todavía.

Zarathoustra cependant ne bougea pas et ce fut juste à côté de lui que tomba le corps, déchiré et brisé, mais vivant encore.

Zarathustra, however, remained standing, and just beside him fell the body, badly injured and disfigured, but not yet dead.

Handik piska batera konortea itzuli zitzaion zanpatuari eta bere ondoan Zaratustra belaunikaturik ikusi zuen.

Al poco tiempo el destrozado recobró la consciencia y vio a Zaratustra arrodillarse junto a él.

Au bout d'un certain temps la conscience revint au blessé, et il vit Zarathoustra, agenouillé auprès de lui:

After a while consciousness returned to the shattered man, and he saw Zarathustra kneeling beside him.
