Zaparroa zen, mardoa, sendoa eta aurpegi alaikoa. Eguna azkendu eta arrastiria ilundutakoan, tabernaren batera joaten zen, Bruges-ko bidean, ikatzez baltzituriko eztarria kuytez garbitzen, ate ondoan freskura hartzen zeuden andrazko guztiek lagunkiro egiten ziotela dei:
