The Sustainability Directorate provides technical advice and training for the Environmental Improvement Groups (EIGs) of those university centres committed to environmental management, and for those members of the university community that wish to set up or reactivate an EIG. Support is offered for the implementation, monitoring and assessment of Environmental Improvement Plans (EIP), as well for designing and deploying specific actions.

Furthermore, impetus is given to the participation of the university community in different environmental sustainability initiatives to develop programmes aimed at greater efficiency in the use of resources, reducing the negative impact of the university activities on the planet and modifying habits to safeguard our planet’s health.
