Sara Barandiaran

Biography
Sara Barandiaran Oliveras holds a degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of the Basque Country (2024). During her studies she spent a year at the University of Valparaíso, Chile. In her final academic year she completed a four-month curricular internship at the Environmental Studies Center (CEA) of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council. After that, she did another three-month internship at the Ornithology Department of the Aranzadi Science Society. She is currently studying for a Master's Degree in Circular Economy Applied to Business at the University of the Basque Country. There she is doing her Master's Thesis together with the research groups 'Materials + Technologies' (GMT) and 'Life Cycle Thinking' (LCT). The study aims to analyze the environmental impacts of an organic cotton T-shirt produced in India through a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), comparing organic and conventional production techniques.
