Biography
Graduated in Industrial Chemical Engineering, she obtained her PhD at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
She is Adjunct Professor in the department of Graphic Design and Engineering Projects at the Engineering Faculty of Gipuzkoa (UPV/EHU) and member of the research group `Materials + Technologies' (GMT) since 2012, recognized as a Consolidated Research Group (IT1690-22) of the Basque University System.
Research
Her research career is focused on the development of bio-inspired bionanocomposites using natural polymers as matrix (cellulose, starch, alginate, gelatine, etc.) and polysaccharide nanocrystals and graphene derived flakes as reinforcements.
Nowadays, she is working on the design of biobased 3D printing materials for tailored drug release applications. Besides, she is also focus on the preparation of conductive inks for the design of 3D printing materials capable of storage energy.
