Ana Restrepo
Biography
Ana Restrepo received her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Colombia in 2014. She obtained an industrial internship working with analysis methods in the inks and paints industry.
Then in 2015/20,16, she got a fellowship from the AUIP (Iberoamerican Association of postgrad Universities) for her master’s in nanoscience materials and processes at Universitat Rovira I Virgili.
Later, she worked for five years in the hot-melt adhesives industry in process improvement and scaling-up. She is currently researching polyurethane recyclability as her Ph.D. thesis supervised by Dr. Arantxa Eceiza and Dr. Ainara Saralegi Otamendi.
Research
During her bachelor’s, she researched and published new methods of coffee roasting. Then during her master´s, she investigated wastewater treatment in the Chemical Reaction Engineering & Process Intensification Group (CREPI) supervised by Professor Christophe Bengoa and published the results at the 10th world congress of chemical engineering in 2017.
During the years 2020 and 2021 she also exposed in local and national congresses.
As a member of the GMT Group, She is currently researching polyurethane recyclability supervised by Dr. Arantxa Eceiza and Dr. Ainara Saralegi Otamendi.
