Thanks to an agreement between the Ministry of Justice, Employment and Social Security for the Basque Government and the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, the Faculty of Law (which been functioning more or less continuously since the beginning of the 90s), addressed the translation of essential texts into Euskera. From this agreement emerged the translation of the Spanish constitution, as the first serious contribution, followed by other legal texts relating to various disciplines, which formed the collection known as Legeak-Leyes. It is worth mentioning their accuracy and excellence, both in the linguistic field, for their terminology and phraseology in Euskera, as well as in the law itself. Linguists of the highest level as well as bilingual professors specialising in each field of Law have dedicated their time and knowledge to this work. They are reference works for jurists and legal professionals, as well as those in training who also carry out their activity in Euskera.
