4.2. Functions

The Scientific Committee is made up of University professors who are specialists and experienced in the fields of Education and Psychology. Its function is to attract original texts to the Series, to guarantee the scientific quality of the texts that are published, to make proposals to cultivate new editorial fields and, in the event that it is proposed by the Editorial Service, to participate in the blind-evaluation process.

5. Instructions for authors submitting original manuscripts

Originals should be sent to the Editorial Service e-mail address,  together with a request form which includes the following information: full personal data of the author(s), complete title of the work (this can be modified later), scientific interest, objective public and possible commercial interest in same.  Works must be unedited or the result of original research.

The Editorial Service Managers will analyse and decide whether or not to publish the work, following consultation with the advisers in this field from the Scientific Committee.

If the work is to be considered, the Editorial Service Managers will choose two people to evaluate the work, and a third as reserve.

The reports must be received by the Editorial Service within a maximum period of two months.

Once the evaluations have been received, the Scientific Committee for the Series will decide whether to accept the publication, reject it, provide suggestions for modifications or request a third evaluation.

Originals will be presented in PDF format, including images, tables, photographs and other graphic elements.

6. Information on the manuscript selection process

In order to be accepted, texts must pass a double blind peer evaluation carried out by at least two evaluators.

If both reports are positive, it will be considered that publication is recommended, although changes may be made according to the suggestions and recommendations of the evaluation reports.

If both reports are negative, it will be considered that it is recommended not to publish the work.

If one report is positive and the other negative, a third evaluation may be requested.
