And so it was, because the midwives feared God, that He provided households for them.

Entonces el faraón dio a todo su pueblo esta orden: "Echad al río a todo hijo que nazca, y preservad la vida a toda hija".

Alors Pharaon donna cet ordre à tout son peuple: Vous jetterez dans le fleuve tout garçon qui naîtra, et vous laisserez vivre toutes les filles.

So Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, "Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive."

And a man of the house of Levi went and took [as wife] a daughter of Levi.

Haurdun gelditu zen emaztea eta semea izan zuen. Haurra ederra zela ikusirik, gordeta eduki zuen hiru hilabetez;

la que concibió y dio a luz un hijo. Al ver que era hermoso, lo tuvo escondido durante tres meses.

Cette femme devint enceinte et enfanta un fils. Elle vit qu'il était beau, et elle le cacha pendant trois mois.

So the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he [was] a beautiful [child,] she hid him three months.

Ne pouvant plus le cacher, elle prit une caisse de jonc, qu'elle enduisit de bitume et de poix; elle y mit l'enfant, et le déposa parmi les roseaux, sur le bord du fleuve.

But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid [it] in the reeds by the river's bank.

La soeur de l'enfant se tint à quelque distance, pour savoir ce qui lui arriverait.

And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.

La fille de Pharaon descendit au fleuve pour se baigner, et ses compagnes se promenèrent le long du fleuve. Elle aperçut la caisse au milieu des roseaux, et elle envoya sa servante pour la prendre.

Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river. And her maidens walked along the riverside; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it.

Ireki eta mutikoa ikusi zuen negarrez. Faraoiaren alabak, errukiturik, esan zuen: -Hebertarren haurra da, noski.

Cuando la abrió, vio al niño, que estaba llorando. Llena de compasión por él, exclamó: -- Este es un niño de los hebreos.

Elle l'ouvrit, et vit l'enfant: c'était un petit garçon qui pleurait. Elle en eut pitié, et elle dit: C'est un enfant des Hébreux !

And when she had opened [it,] she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So she had compassion on him, and said, "This is one of the Hebrews' children."

Orduan, haurraren arrebak esan zion: -Nahi al duzu hebertar inude baten bila joatea, haurra hazteko?

Entonces la hermana del niño dijo a la hija del faraón: -- ¿Quieres que te llame a una nodriza de las hebreas para que te críe a este niño?

Alors la soeur de l'enfant dit à la fille de Pharaon: Veux-tu que j'aille te chercher une nourrice parmi les femmes des Hébreux, pour allaiter cet enfant ?

Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?"

-Zoaz -erantzun zion faraoiaren alabak. Neskatxak haurraren amari deitu zion.

-- Ve -- respondió la hija del faraón. La joven fue y llamó a la madre del niño,

Va, lui répondit la fille de Pharaon. Et la jeune fille alla chercher la mère de l'enfant.

And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Go." So the maiden went and called the child's mother.

Heldu zenean, faraoiaren alabak esan zion: -Hartzazu haurra eta hazi, eta neuk ordainduko dizut. Emakumeak haurra hartu eta hazi egin zuen.

a la cual dijo la hija del faraón: -- Llévate a este niño y críamelo; yo te lo pagaré. La mujer tomó al niño y lo crió.

La fille de Pharaon lui dit: Emporte cet enfant, et allaite -le-moi; je te donnerai ton salaire. La femme prit l'enfant, et l'allaita.

Then Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this child away and nurse him for me, and I will give [you] your wages." So the woman took the child and nursed him.

Handi egin zenean, faraoiaren alabari eraman zion. Honek semetzat hartu eta Moises ezarri zion izen, esanez: "Uretatik atera dut".

Y cuando el niño creció, se lo entregó a la hija del faraón, la cual lo crió como hijo suyo y le puso por nombre Moisés, diciendo: "Porque de las aguas lo saqué".

Quand il eut grandi, elle l'amena à la fille de Pharaon, et il fut pour elle comme un fils. Elle lui donna le nom de Moïse, car, dit -elle, je l'ai retiré des eaux.

And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. So she called his name Moses, saying, "Because I drew him out of the water."

Behinola, jadanik heldua zelarik, bere anaia hebertarrengana joan zen Moises eta lan neketsuetan aurkitu zituen. Eta han ikusi zuen egiptoar bat hebertar anaia bat jipoitzen.

Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.

So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.

Il sortit le jour suivant; et voici, deux Hébreux se querellaient. Il dit à celui qui avait tort: Pourquoi frappes -tu ton prochain ?

And when he went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, and he said to the one who did the wrong, "Why are you striking your companion?"

Hark erantzun zion: -Nork jarri hau hi gure arteko buruzagi eta epaile? Ala hil egin behar ote nauk ni ere, egiptoarra bezala? Beldurtu egin zen Moises, arazoa ezaguna zela pentsatuz.

Él respondió: -- ¿Quién te ha puesto a ti por príncipe y juez sobre nosotros? ¿Piensas matarme como mataste al egipcio? Entonces Moisés tuvo miedo, y pensó: "Ciertamente esto ha sido descubierto".

Et cet homme répondit: Qui t 'a établi chef et juge sur nous? Penses -tu me tuer, comme tu as tué l'Égyptien ? Moïse eut peur, et dit: Certainement la chose est connue.

Then he said, "Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" So Moses feared and said, "Surely this thing is known!"

Hain zuzen, faraoia, gertatuaren berri jakin zuelarik, Moises hil nahian zebilen, baina honek faraoiagandik ihes egin zuen eta Madian eskualdera joan zen bizitzera. Han, putzu baten ondoan eseri zen.

Cuando el faraón oyó acerca de este hecho, procuró matar a Moisés; pero Moisés huyó de la presencia del faraón y habitó en la tierra de Madián. Allí se sentó junto a un pozo.

Pharaon apprit ce qui s'était passé, et il cherchait à faire mourir Moïse. Mais Moïse s'enfuit de devant Pharaon, et il se retira dans le pays de Madian, où il s'arrêta près d'un puits.

When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well.

Bazen Madianen zazpi alaba zituen apaiz bat. Hauek putzura joan ziren, aska bete eta aitaren ardiei edaten ematera.

El sacerdote de Madián tenía siete hijas, que fueron a sacar agua para llenar las pilas y dar de beber a las ovejas de su padre.

Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. And they came and drew water, and they filled the troughs to water their father's flock.

Pero llegaron los pastores y las echaron de allí; entonces Moisés se levantó, las defendió y dio de beber a sus ovejas.

Then the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

Cuando ellas volvieron junto a su padre Reuel, este les preguntó: -- ¿Por qué habéis venido hoy tan pronto?

Quand elles furent de retour auprès de Réuel, leur père, il dit: Pourquoi revenez -vous si tôt aujourd'hui ?

When they came to Reuel their father, he said, "How [is it that] you have come so soon today?"

Haiek erantzun: -Egiptoar batek defendatu gaitu artzainen kontra. Gainera, berak atera digu putzutik ura eta ardiei edaten eman.

-- Un varón egipcio nos libró de manos de los pastores; también nos sacó el agua y dio de beber a las ovejas --respondieron ellas.

Elles répondirent: Un Égyptien nous a délivrées de la main des bergers, et même il nous a puisé de l'eau, et a fait boire le troupeau.

And they said, "An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and he also drew enough water for us and watered the flock."

Aitak esan zien: -Eta non da bera? Nola utzi diozue joaten? Dei egiozue zerbait jan dezan.

Preguntó entonces Reuel a sus hijas: -- ¿Dónde está? ¿Por qué habéis dejado marchar a ese hombre? Llamadlo para que coma.

Et il dit à ses filles: Où est-il? Pourquoi avez-vous laissé cet homme ? Appelez -le, pour qu'il prenne quelque nourriture.

So he said to his daughters, "And where [is] he? Why [is] it [that] you have left the man? Call him, that he may eat bread."

Orduz gero, Moises Reuelen etxean gelditu zen bizitzen. Reuelek bere alaba Tzipora eman zion emaztetzat.

Moisés aceptó vivir en casa de aquel hombre; y este dio a su hija Séfora por mujer a Moisés.

Moïse se décida à demeurer chez cet homme, qui lui donna pour femme Séphora, sa fille.

Then Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses.

And she bore [him] a son, and he called his name Gershom; for he said, "I have been a stranger in a foreign land."

Now it happened in the process of time that the king of Egypt died. Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage.

Dios oyó el gemido de ellos y se acordó de su pacto con Abraham, Isaac y Jacob.

Dieu entendit leurs gémissements, et se souvint de son alliance avec Abraham, Isaac et Jacob.

So God heard their groaning, and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Begiratu zien israeldarrei eta haienganako ardura hartu zuen.

Y miró Dios a los hijos de Israel, y conoció su condición.

Dieu regarda les enfants d'Israël, et il en eut compassion.

And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God acknowledged [them.]

Moisesek Madiango apaiz Jetro bere aitaginarrebaren artaldea zaintzen zuen. Behin batean, basamortuan barrena artaldea eraman zuen eta Jainkoaren mendiraino, Horeberaino, iritsi zen.

Apacentando Moisés las ovejas de su suegro Jetro, sacerdote de Madián, llevó las ovejas a través del desierto y llegó hasta Horeb, monte de Dios.

Moïse faisait paître le troupeau de Jéthro, son beau-père, sacrificateur de Madian; et il mena le troupeau derrière le désert, et vint à la montagne de Dieu, à Horeb.

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Han, Jaunaren aingerua agertu zitzaion sasi artean pizturiko sugarretan. Moises begira jarri zen: sasia, sutan egon arren, ez zen erretzen.

Allí se le apareció el ángel de Jehová en una llama de fuego, en medio de una zarza. Al fijarse, vio que la zarza ardía en fuego, pero la zarza no se consumía.

L'ange de l'Éternel lui apparut dans une flamme de feu, au milieu d'un buisson. Moïse regarda; et voici, le buisson était tout en feu, et le buisson ne se consumait point.

And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush [was] not consumed.

Moisesek bere buruari ziotson: "Hurbil nadin gauza harrigarri hori ikustera: nola liteke sasia ez erretzea?"

Entonces Moisés se dijo: "Iré ahora para contemplar esta gran visión, por qué causa la zarza no se quema".

Moïse dit: Je veux me détourner pour voir quelle est cette grande vision, et pourquoi le buisson ne se consume point.

Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn."

Begiratzera zetorrela ikustean, Jaunak dei egin zion sasi artetik: -Moises! Moises! Hark erantzun: -Hemen nauzu!

Cuando Jehová vio que él iba a mirar, lo llamó de en medio de la zarza: -- ¡Moisés, Moisés! -- Aquí estoy -- respondió él.

L'Éternel vit qu'il se détournait pour voir; et Dieu l'appela du milieu du buisson, et dit: Moïse ! Moïse ! Et il répondit: Me voici!

So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am."

-Ez hurbildu -esan zion Jaunak-. Erantzi oinetakoak, zauden lekua lur santua baita.

Dios le dijo: -- No te acerques; quita el calzado de tus pies, porque el lugar en que tú estás, tierra santa es.

Dieu dit: N'approche pas d'ici, ôte tes souliers de tes pieds, car le lieu sur lequel tu te tiens est une terre sainte.

Then He said, "Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand [is] holy ground."

Ni zure arbaso Abraham, Isaak eta Jakoben Jainkoa naiz. Moisesek aurpegia estali zuen, Jainkoari begiratzeko beldur baitzen.

Y añadió: -- Yo soy el Dios de tu padre, el Dios de Abraham, el Dios de Isaac y el Dios de Jacob. Entonces Moisés cubrió su rostro, porque tuvo miedo de mirar a Dios.

Et il ajouta: Je suis le Dieu de ton père, le Dieu d'Abraham, le Dieu d'Isaac et le Dieu de Jacob. Moïse se cacha le visage, car il craignait de regarder Dieu.

Moreover He said, "I [am] the God of your father -- the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

Jaunak esan zion, gainera: -Ongi ikusia dut zure herriaren atsekabea Egipton eta entzuna haien oihua zapaltzaileen zigorpean; bai, ohartu naiz haien oinazeaz.

Dijo luego Jehová: -- Bien he visto la aflicción de mi pueblo que está en Egipto, y he oído su clamor a causa de sus opresores, pues he conocido sus angustias.

L'Éternel dit: J'ai vu la souffrance de mon peuple qui est en Égypte, et j'ai entendu les cris que lui font pousser ses oppresseurs, car je connais ses douleurs.

And the LORD said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who [are] in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.

Egiptoarren eskuetatik libratzera etorri naiz eta lurralde honetatik, esnea eta eztia darizkion lurralde zabal eta jori batera igoaraztera, hots, orain kanaandar, hitiar, amortar, periztar, hibiar eta jebustarrena den lurraldera.

Je suis descendu pour le délivrer de la main des Égyptiens, et pour le faire monter de ce pays dans un bon et vaste pays, dans un pays où coulent le lait et le miel, dans les lieux qu'habitent les Cananéens, les Héthiens, les Amoréens, les Phéréziens, les Héviens et les Jébusiens.

"So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.

Hara, nireganaino heldu da israeldarren deiadarra, eta ikusi dut zeinen gogor erabiltzen dituzten egiptoarrek.

El clamor, pues, de los hijos de Israel ha llegado ante mí, y también he visto la opresión con que los egipcios los oprimen.

"Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.

Zoaz, bada; faraoiagana bidaltzen zaitut, ene herria, israeldarrak, Egiptotik atera ditzazun.

Ven, por tanto, ahora, y te enviaré al faraón para que saques de Egipto a mi pueblo, a los hijos de Israel.

Maintenant, va, je t'enverrai auprès de Pharaon, et tu feras sortir d'Égypte mon peuple, les enfants d'Israël.

"Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt."

Moisesek esan zion, orduan: -Nor naiz ni faraoiagana joateko, nor israeldarrak Egiptotik ateratzeko?

Entonces Moisés respondió a Dios: -- ¿Quién soy yo para que vaya al faraón y saque de Egipto a los hijos de Israel?

Moïse dit à Dieu: Qui suis-je, pour aller vers Pharaon, et pour faire sortir d'Égypte les enfants d'Israël ?

But Moses said to God, "Who [am] I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?"

Jainkoak erantzun zion: -Zeurekin izango nauzu. Eta hona zertan ezagutuko den nik bidaltzen zaitudala: ene herria Egiptotik aterako duzunean, mendi honetan gurtuko nauzue.

Dios le respondió: -- Yo estaré contigo; y esto te será por señal de que yo te he enviado: cuando hayas sacado de Egipto al pueblo, serviréis a Dios sobre este monte.

Dieu dit: Je serai avec toi; et ceci sera pour toi le signe que c'est moi qui t'envoie: quand tu auras fait sortir d'Égypte le peuple, vous servirez Dieu sur cette montagne.

So He said, "I will certainly be with you. And this [shall be] a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain."

Baina Moisesek ihardetsi zion: -Hara, ni israeldarrengana joan eta "Zuen arbasoen Jainkoak bidali nau zuengana" esango diedanean, "Nola du izena"? galdetuko didate haiek. Zer erantzun behar diet orduan?

Dijo Moisés a Dios: -- Si voy a los hijos de Israel y les digo: "Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres, me ha enviado a vosotros", me preguntarán: "¿Cuál es su nombre?". Entonces ¿qué les responderé?

Moïse dit à Dieu: J'irai donc vers les enfants d'Israël, et je leur dirai: Le Dieu de vos pères m'envoie vers vous. Mais, s'ils me demandent quel est son nom, que leur répondrai -je?

Then Moses said to God, "Indeed, [when] I come to the children of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they say to me, 'What [is] His name?' what shall I say to them?"

Jainkoak erantzun zion: -Izango naizena naiz. Beraz, honela esango diezu israeldarrei: "Izango naizena naiz" deritzanak bidali nau zuengana.

Respondió Dios a Moisés: -- "Yo soy el que soy". Y añadió: -- Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: " 'Yo soy' me envió a vosotros".

Dieu dit à Moïse: Je suis celui qui suis. Et il ajouta: C'est ainsi que tu répondras aux enfants d'Israël: Celui qui s'appelle "je suis "m'a envoyé vers vous.

And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' "

Jainkoak Moisesi esan zion, gainera: -Esan israeldarrei: Jaunak, zuen arbaso Abraham, Isaak eta Jakoben Jainkoak, zuengana bidali nau. Horixe izango da nire izena betiko; hala deituko naute belaunez belaun.
