Geometric Analysis
Scope of the special session
Geometric analysis is a subject in the frontier between differential geometry and the analytic theory of partial differential equations. This middle position implies that both analytical and geometrical techniques arise very naturally, in order to solve problems. In this session, we would like to deal with some of the main themes of geometric analysis, as, for example, constant mean curvature surfaces in Riemannian manifolds and partial differential equations arising from geometrical problems. The talks will be given by young researchers, that have given relevant contributions to this theory. Moreover, we devise the session as an opportunity to encourage exchanges of ideas and scientific collaboration among researchers of this area.
