Bizkaia Aretoa Auditorium
The Bizkaia Aretoa is the new assembly hall and conference centre of the University of the Basque Country, designed by the Pritzker Prize-winning Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza. Situated in the very centre of Bilbao, in the completely renovated and trendy area of Abandoibarra, at the feet of the Iberdrola Tower, and close to the river and the Guggenheim Museum.
Faculty of Science and Technology
Situated on the Leioa Campus of the University of the Basque Country, 10 km away from the city of Bilbao. It holds the Department of Mathematics and the Department of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research, coorganisers of the FJIM 2014.
You can see above a map of the Leioa Campus. The Faculty of Science and Technology is the long building in dark blue on the map, and participants in FJIM 2014 should use the gates numbered 2 (main entrance to the faculty) and 3.
All plenary talks will take place in the auditorium of the faculty, which can be found on the first floor, entering through gate number 3.
The talks in the special sessions will be given in lecture rooms on the ground floor of the faculty, between gates 2 and 3. The correspondence between lecture rooms and special sessions will be shown in the two halls at these entrances to the faculty.
