Current lines of research
The UMPI group (University Management for Performance Improvement)'s research objective is university management as a determining factor in students' performance in a general sense. Our students, the dynamic social agents of the future, need skills, abilities, knowledge, attitudes and values in order to deal with the challenges which they will be faced with, and university management must ensure that they have them.
This group's main objective is to research the main factors involved in the university's work, and which are determining for students' performance, in order to be able evaluate them with a view to making management more efficient.
Some of these factors may be more closely connected with the students themselves, while others are linked with the learning context. At present, The UMPI group is working on three lines of research which cover both types of factors:
- Evaluation of the use of active methodologies as a tool for improving students' performance.
- Team work management as a determining factor in students' performance.
- Determining factors in students' engagement: Current situation and perspectives.
