Compliant mechanisms design
A compliant mechanism is one that gains some or all of its mobility from the flexibility of its components. As a result, compliant mechanisms may be built from fewer parts, cutting the need for assembly procedures to a minimum. Other advantages are that they have less wear, friction or backlash and, as a result, no need for lubrication. Our research team possesses a large background in this field and develops compliant mechanisms with one or various input-output ports, or even multi material compliant mechanisms.
