Any young researcher that joins the structural optimization research group will be trained in the Doctorate Program in “Mechanical Engineering”, with a quality mention from the Ministry. Within the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) you will find a dynamic environment, in contact with the business reality. The different research groups in Mechanical Engineering, include people with long years of research experience together with young professionals and recent graduates, all of them highly motivated. You will also have the opportunity to live with people from various cultures and countries.

Any researcher who joins the group will find a well-defined and bounded PhD. Thesis topic, and one with clear goals to complete the doctorate in a reasonable period of time.

The tools that the doctoral student will have when carrying out their work in the Department of Mechanical Engineering will be numerous and diverse, among others: the analysis equipment and experimental measurements exposed in previous sections, physical work space with the appropriate computer tools, good environment among colleagues and the possibility of attending training courses and congresses. Thanks to the international contacts of the research team with other universities, the doctoral student will be able to make one or more stays in a foreign center, expanding their knowledge and making it possible to obtain an International Thesis.
