A systematic understanding of a field of study and mastery of research skills and methods related to the said field.
Ability to address problem-solving of a linguistic nature related to the Basque language which may arise in the field of grammar, philology, historical linguistics, dialectology, translation, language didactics and their scope of use in different speaking situations.
Ability to apply the knowledge, theoretical and methodological principles and research techniques acquired throughout the training process.
Ability to conduct quality original research into one or more specific aspects of Basque linguistics and philology (grammar, dialectology, history of the language, applied linguistics and literature).
Ability to understand and contextualize literature written in the Basque language, in both earlier and contemporary times, using advanced methods and standards approved for literary criticism, history of literature and comparative literature.
Ability to write research papers.
Design, create, develop and undertake new and innovative projects in the field of knowledge of Basque studies.
Gain an appropriate understanding of the theoretical, practical and methodological foundations of research in the main areas of studies related to the Basque language.
In-depth knowledge of at least two curricular itineraries of the Master's Degree.
Participate in research activities in the university field, applying the methodology and knowledge developed throughout the qualification with the aim of increasing general knowledge in the area.
The ability to formulate and verify scientific hypotheses, both one's own and those of others, and design research based on hypotheses (one's own and those of others) in areas of specialisation.
To defend and develop one's research proposals both orally and in writing in the corresponding scientific field, doing so in Basque and Spanish as well as in a foreign language (preferrably English).
Work in a team and autonomously in an international or multi-disciplinary context.
