Maialen Oiartzun Irastorza

  • Graduated in Primary Education (2017) and Master in Research in the Socio-Educational Field (2018) by the University of the Basque Country.

At the present:

She is currently a researcher in the Department of Educational Sciences, with a Predoctoral contract for research staff training at the UPV/EHU. She is doing the doctoral thesis “The best teachers for a quality school: diagnosis of the access model to teaching and proposals for Basque Public Education” directed by Idoia Fernández Fernández and Alba Madinabeitia Ezkurra.

Member of the IkasGura research group since 2020, she is working and researching in line of her doctoral thesis: models of access to teaching, teacher training, teaching profile and identity, teacher professional development.

In 2018 she won the XIV edition of the José Antonio Loidi Grant, which aims to disseminate scientific research in Basque, with the research project "Basque reading in the Municipal Library of Irun" for 12 months.
