The objective of GEIFI is the study of the biology of fungi producing human invasive infections, in order to understand their pathogenesis and to improve their diagnosis and treatment. Two topics are currently studied: the development of new molecules with antifungal activity and the laboratory diagnosis of invasive mycoses. We use both conventional and molecular microbiological methods, cell cultures and monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies.
