She holds a BA degree in Basque Philology (2006) and a Ph.D. in Linguistics (2015) by the University of the Basque Country. She approached Basque aphasia research by a collaboration grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, a research field which she developed thanks to the predoctoral fellowship by the Basque Government. In 2015 she defended her International Ph.D. entitled "Language organisation in the bilingual brain: a case study on Spanish-Basque bilingual aphasia" developed under the supervision of Professor Maria José Ezeizabarrena. Over the last few years she has participated in a series of financed research projects and she has presented her research in several conferences on neuropsycholinguistics and bilingualism. She did a research stay in 2010 in ESRC Centre for Research on Bilingualism in Theory and Practice (Bangor, UK).
From 2009 on she is assistant professor in the Department of Linguistics and Basque Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
