Program

  1. Performance and efficiency evaluation methods. Ratio analysis, data envelopment analysis (DEA), and stochastic frontier analysis.
  2. Foundations of DEA as a non-parametric method of performance and efficiency evaluation that is able to deal with multiple inputs and outputs. Input- and output-oriented models, returns to scale, bad outputs.
  3. Non-homogeneity of production units and external environment.Models and procedures dealing with non-homogeneity.
  4. Efficiency evaluation in network and hierarchical structures.
  5. Production frontiers in case of technological development in time (panel data).
  6. Computational aspects of DEA.
