"As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

No te llamarás más Abram, sino que tu nombre será Abraham, porque te he puesto por padre de muchedumbre de gentes.

On ne t'appellera plus Abram; mais ton nom sera Abraham, car je te rends père d'une multitude de nations.

"No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations.

Ugalduko ditut zure ondorengoak, nazioen sorburu egingo zaitut eta erregeak aterako dira zuregandik.

Te multiplicaré en gran manera, y de ti saldrán naciones y reyes.

Je te rendrai fécond à l'infini, je ferai de toi des nations; et des rois sortiront de toi.

"I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.

"And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.

Zuri eta zure ondorengoei betiereko jabegotzat emango dizuet Kanaan lurraldea, gaur egun atzerritar gisa bizi zareneko lurraldea; zure ondorengoen Jainkoa izango naiz".

Te daré a ti y a tu descendencia después de ti la tierra en que habitas, toda la tierra de Canaán, en heredad perpetua; y seré el Dios de ellos.

Je te donnerai, et à tes descendants après toi, le pays que tu habites comme étranger, tout le pays de Canaan, en possession perpétuelle, et je serai leur Dieu.

"Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."

Honela mintzatu zitzaion Jainkoa Abrahami: "Gorde nirekiko ituna zeuk eta zure ondorengoek belaunez belaun.

Dijo de nuevo Dios a Abraham: -- En cuanto a ti, guardarás mi pacto, tú y tu descendencia después de ti de generación en generación.

Dieu dit à Abraham: Toi, tu garderas mon alliance, toi et tes descendants après toi, selon leurs générations.

And God said to Abraham: "As for you, you shall keep My covenant, you and your descendants after you throughout their generations.

Hau da zuk eta zure ondorengoek nirekiko duzuen konpromezua: zuetako gizaseme oro erdaintzea.

Este es mi pacto, que guardaréis entre mí y vosotros y tu descendencia después de ti: Todo varón de entre vosotros será circuncidado.

C'est ici mon alliance, que vous garderez entre moi et vous, et ta postérité après toi: tout mâle parmi vous sera circoncis.

"This [is] My covenant which you shall keep, between Me and you and your descendants after you: Every male child among you shall be circumcised;

Circuncidaréis la carne de vuestro prepucio, y será por señal del pacto entre mí y vosotros.

"and you shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you.

À l'âge de huit jours, tout mâle parmi vous sera circoncis, selon vos générations, qu'il soit né dans la maison, ou qu'il soit acquis à prix d'argent de tout fils d'étranger, sans appartenir à ta race.

"He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant.

Salbuespenik gabe erdainduko dituzue esklaboak, etxean jaioa ala diruz erosia izan. Honela, nire ituna zuen gorputzean geldituko da seinalatua betiko.

Debe ser circuncidado el nacido en tu casa y el comprado por tu dinero, de modo que mi pacto esté en vuestra carne por pacto perpetuo.

On devra circoncire celui qui est né dans la maison et celui qui est acquis à prix d'argent; et mon alliance sera dans votre chair une alliance perpétuelle.

"He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

Erdaingabea, hau da, bere zakil-muturra erdaindu ez duen gizasemea, herritik bota egingo duzue, nire ituna hautsi duelako".

El incircunciso, aquel a quien no se le haya cortado la carne del prepucio, será eliminado de su pueblo por haber violado mi pacto.

Un mâle incirconcis, qui n'aura pas été circoncis dans sa chair, sera exterminé du milieu de son peuple: il aura violé mon alliance.

"And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant."

Jainkoak esan zion Abrahami: "Aurrerantzean ez diozu zeure emazteari Sarai esango, baizik eta Sara izango du izen.

Dijo también Dios a Abraham: -- A Sarai, tu mujer, no la llamarás Sarai, sino que su nombre será Sara.

Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah [shall be] her name.

Honen bidez semea emango dizut. Bedeinkatuko dut, nazio askoren sorburu egingo eta harengandik erregeak aterako dira".

Yo la bendeciré, y también te daré un hijo de ella. Sí, la bendeciré y vendrá a ser madre de naciones; reyes de pueblos nacerán de ella.

Je la bénirai, et je te donnerai d'elle un fils; je la bénirai, et elle deviendra des nations; des rois de peuples sortiront d'elle.

"And I will bless her and also give you a son by her; then I will bless her, and she shall be [a mother of] nations; kings of peoples shall be from her."

Abraham tomba sur sa face; il rit, et dit en son coeur: Naîtrait -il un fils à un homme de cent ans ? et Sara, âgée de quatre-vingt-dix ans, enfanterait -elle?

Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Shall [a child] be born to a man who is one hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear [a child?"]

Y dijo Abraham a Dios: -- Ojalá viva Ismael delante de ti.

Et Abraham dit à Dieu: Oh! qu 'Ismaël vive devant ta face !

And Abraham said to God, "Oh, that Ishmael might live before You!"

-Ez! -erantzun zion Jainkoak-. Zeure emazte Sarak sortuko dizu semea, eta Isaak jarriko diozu izen. Ituna egingo dut harekin eta haren ondorengoekin betiko.

Respondió Dios: -- Ciertamente Sara, tu mujer, te dará a luz un hijo y le pondrás por nombre Isaac. Confirmaré mi pacto con él como pacto perpetuo para sus descendientes después de él.

Dieu dit: Certainement Sara, ta femme, t'enfantera un fils; et tu l'appelleras du nom d'Isaac. J'établirai mon alliance avec lui comme une alliance perpétuelle pour sa postérité après lui.

Then God said: "No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, [and] with his descendants after him.

Aditu dizut Ismaeli buruz esan duzuna ere. Bedeinkatu egingo dut: ondorengo ugari izango ditu, hamabi printze sortuko ditu eta herri handi baten sorburu egingo dut.

Y en cuanto a Ismael, también te he oído. Lo bendeciré, lo haré fructificar y multiplicar mucho en gran manera, engendrará doce príncipes y haré de él una gran nación.

À l'égard d'Ismaël, je t'ai exaucé. Voici, je le bénirai, je le rendrai fécond, et je le multiplierai à l'infini; il engendrera douze princes, et je ferai de lui une grande nation.

"And as for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

Acabó Dios de hablar con Abraham, y se alejó de él.

Lorsqu'il eut achevé de lui parler, Dieu s'éleva au-dessus d'Abraham.

Then He finished talking with him, and God went up from Abraham.

Egun hartan bertan, Jainkoak agindu bezala, bere etxeko gizaseme guztiak erdaindu zituen Abrahamek: Ismael bere semea eta esklabo guztiak, nahiz etxean jaioak nahiz diruz erosiak.

Entonces tomó Abraham a su hijo Ismael, a todos los siervos nacidos en su casa y a todos los comprados por su dinero, a todo varón de la casa de Abraham, y circuncidó la carne del prepucio de ellos en aquel mismo día, como Dios le había dicho.

Abraham prit Ismaël, son fils, tous ceux qui étaient nés dans sa maison et tous ceux qu'il avait acquis à prix d'argent, tous les mâles parmi les gens de la maison d'Abraham; et il les circoncit ce même jour, selon l'ordre que Dieu lui avait donné.

So Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house and all who were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that very same day, as God had said to him.

En el mismo día fueron circuncidados Abraham y su hijo Ismael;

Ce même jour, Abraham fut circoncis, ainsi qu'Ismaël, son fils.

That very same day Abraham was circumcised, and his son Ishmael;

Abrahamekin batera erdaindu ziren etxeko gizaseme guztiak ere, nahiz etxean jaioak nahiz atzerrian diruz erosiak.

todos los varones de su casa, tanto el siervo nacido en casa como el comprado del extranjero por dinero, fueron circuncidados con él.

Et tous les gens de sa maison, nés dans sa maison, ou acquis à prix d'argent des étrangers, furent circoncis avec lui.

and all the men of his house, born in the house or bought with money from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.

Jehová se le apareció a Abraham en el encinar de Mamre, estando él sentado a la puerta de su tienda, a la hora de más calor.

L'Éternel lui apparut parmi les chênes de Mamré, comme il était assis à l'entrée de sa tente, pendant la chaleur du jour.

Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.

Alzó los ojos y vio a tres varones que estaban junto a él. Al verlos salió corriendo de la puerta de su tienda a recibirlos, se postró en tierra

Il leva les yeux, et regarda: et voici, trois hommes étaient debout près de lui. Quand il les vit, il courut au-devant d'eux, depuis l'entrée de sa tente, et se prosterna en terre.

So he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, three men were standing by him; and when he saw [them,] he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground,

eta esan zien: -Ene Jauna, begiko banauzu, ez alde egin, arren.

y dijo: -- Señor, si he hallado gracia en tus ojos, te ruego que no pases de largo junto a tu siervo.

Et il dit: Seigneur, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, ne passe point, je te prie, loin de ton serviteur.

and said, "My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant.

Berehala ekarriko dizuet ura, oinak garbitzeko. Hartzazue atseden bitartean, zuhaitzaren itzalpean.

Haré traer ahora un poco de agua para que lavéis vuestros pies, y luego os recostaréis debajo de un árbol.

Permettez qu'on apporte un peu d'eau, pour vous laver les pieds; et reposez -vous sous cet arbre.

"Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.

"And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant." They said, "Do as you have said."

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, "Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead [it] and make cakes."

So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set [it] before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.

And He said, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son." (Sarah was listening in the tent door which [was] behind him.)

Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; [and] Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.

Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, "After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?"

Entonces Jehová dijo a Abraham: -- ¿Por qué se ha reído Sara diciendo: "Será cierto que he de dar a luz siendo ya vieja"?

L'Éternel dit à Abraham: Pourquoi donc Sara a-t-elle ri, en disant: Est-ce que vraiment j'aurais un enfant, moi qui suis vieille ?

And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear [a child,] since I am old?'

Ba ote da ezer ezinezkorik Jaunarentzat? Urtebete barru itzuliko natzaizunean, Sarak semea izango du!

¿Acaso hay alguna cosa difícil para Dios? Al tiempo señalado volveré a ti, y para entonces Sara tendrá un hijo.

Y a-t-il rien qui soit étonnant de la part de l'Éternel ? Au temps fixé je reviendrai vers toi, à cette même époque; et Sara aura un fils.

"Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

Sarak, beldurturik, ukatu egin zuen, esanez: -Ez dut irribarrerik egin. -Nola ezetz! Irri egin duzu -erantzun zion hark.

Entonces Sara tuvo miedo y negó, diciendo: -- No me reí. Y él dijo: -- No es así, sino que te has reído.

Sara mentit, en disant: Je n'ai pas ri. Car elle eut peur. Mais il dit: Au contraire, tu as ri.

But Sarah denied [it,] saying, "I did not laugh," for she was afraid. And He said, "No, but you did laugh!"

Ondoren, gizon haiek Sodomarantz abiatu ziren. Abrahamek lagundu egin zien apur batez, agurtu aurretik.

Los varones se levantaron de allí y miraron hacia Sodoma, y Abraham iba con ellos, acompañándolos.

Ces hommes se levèrent pour partir, et ils regardèrent du côté de Sodome. Abraham alla avec eux, pour les accompagner.

Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way.

Jehová dijo: "¿Encubriré yo a Abraham lo que voy a hacer,

And the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,

Abraham deviendra certainement une nation grande et puissante, et en lui seront bénies toutes les nations de la terre.

"since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

Berau hautatu dut bere seme-alaba eta etxekoei Jaunaren arabera bizitzen irakasteko, on eta zuzen dena eginez. Eta nik, Jaunak, bete egingo dut Abrahami aginduriko guztia".

pues yo sé que mandará a sus hijos, y a su casa después de sí, que guarden el camino de Jehová haciendo justicia y juicio, para que haga venir Jehová sobre Abraham lo que ha hablado acerca de él".

Car je l'ai choisi, afin qu 'il ordonne à ses fils et à sa maison après lui de garder la voie de l'Éternel, en pratiquant la droiture et la justice, et qu'ainsi l'Éternel accomplisse en faveur d'Abraham les promesses qu'il lui a faites...

"For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him."

Esan zion, beraz, Jaunak Abrahami: "Izugarria da Sodoma eta Gomorraren aurkako salakuntza. Larriegia da hiri horien bekatua.

Entonces Jehová le dijo: -- Por cuanto el clamor contra Sodoma y Gomorra aumenta más y más y su pecado se ha agravado en extremo,

Et l'Éternel dit: Le cri contre Sodome et Gomorrhe s'est accru, et leur péché est énorme.

And the LORD said, "Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave,

Salakuntza hori egiaztatzera joan behar dut, eta egiazkoa den ala ez ikusi".

descenderé ahora y veré si han consumado su obra según el clamor que ha llegado hasta mí; y si no, lo sabré.

C'est pourquoi je vais descendre, et je verrai s'ils ont agi entièrement selon le bruit venu jusqu'à moi; et si cela n'est pas, je le saurai.

"I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know."

Gizasemeek Sodomarantz jo zuten. Abrahamen erregua Abraham, berriz, Jaunaren aurrean zutik gelditu zen.

Se apartaron de allí los varones y fueron hacia Sodoma; pero Abraham permaneció delante de Jehová.

Les hommes s'éloignèrent, et allèrent vers Sodome. Mais Abraham se tint encore en présence de l'Éternel.

Then the men turned away from there and went toward Sodom, but Abraham still stood before the LORD.

Hurbildurik, esan zion: -Egiaz, errugabea galdu behar ote duzu errudunarekin batera?

Se acercó Abraham y le dijo: -- ¿Destruirás también al justo con el impío?

Abraham s'approcha, et dit: Feras-tu aussi périr le juste avec le méchant ?

And Abraham came near and said, "Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

Beharbada, berrogeita hamar errugabe izango dira herri horretan. Horiek ere hilarazi behar ote dituzu? Ez ote zenioke barkatuko hiri osoari berrogeita hamar errugabeongatik?

Quizá haya cincuenta justos dentro de la ciudad: ¿destruirás y no perdonarás a aquel lugar por amor a los cincuenta justos que estén dentro de él?

Peut-être y a -t-il cinquante justes au milieu de la ville: les feras-tu périr aussi, et ne pardonneras -tu pas à la ville à cause des cinquante justes qui sont au milieu d'elle?

"Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare [it] for the fifty righteous that were in it?

Utikan zuregandik errugabea errudunarekin batera hilaraztea! Nola jokatuko duzu, bada, berdin batarekin zein bestearekin? Munduaren epaileak ez ote du zuzenbiderik egingo?

Lejos de ti el hacerlo así, que hagas morir al justo con el impío y que el justo sea tratado como el impío. ¡Nunca tal hagas! El Juez de toda la tierra, ¿no ha de hacer lo que es justo?

Faire mourir le juste avec le méchant, en sorte qu'il en soit du juste comme du méchant, loin de toi cette manière d'agir ! loin de toi! Celui qui juge toute la terre n'exercera -t-il pas la justice ?

"Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

Jaunak erantzun: -Baldin berrogeita hamar errugabe aurkitzen baditut, haiengatik hiri osoari barkatuko diot.

Entonces respondió Jehová: -- Si encuentro en Sodoma cincuenta justos dentro de la ciudad, perdonaré a todo este lugar por amor a ellos.

Et l'Éternel dit: Si je trouve dans Sodome cinquante justes au milieu de la ville, je pardonnerai à toute la ville, à cause d'eux.

So the LORD said, "If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes."
