Then one who had escaped came and told Abram the Hebrew, for he dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner; and they [were] allies with Abram.

Dès qu'Abram eut appris que son frère avait été fait prisonnier, il arma trois cent dix -huit de ses plus braves serviteurs, nés dans sa maison, et il poursuivit les rois jusqu'à Dan.

Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained [servants] who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

Bere giza taldearekin gauez etsaien gainera erori eta garaitu egin zituen, eta Damaskotik iparraldera dagoen Hobaraino jazarri.

He divided his forces against them by night, and he and his servants attacked them and pursued them as far as Hobah, which [is] north of Damascus.

Haiek harrapatutako guztia berreskuratu zuen: Lot eta honen ondasunak, bahiturik zeramatzaten emakumeak eta gainerako jendea.

Recobró así todos los bienes, y también a su pariente Lot, los bienes de este, las mujeres y demás gente.

Il ramena toutes les richesses; il ramena aussi Lot, son frère, avec ses biens, ainsi que les femmes et le peuple.

So he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people.

Kedorlaomer eta honek lagun zituen erregeak garaitu ondoren, itzulbidetik zetorrela, Sodomako erregea atera zitzaion Abrami bidera Xeba haranean, hau da, Erregearen haranean.

Cuando volvía de derrotar a Quedorlaomer y a los reyes que con él estaban, salió el rey de Sodoma a recibirlo al valle de Save, que es el valle del Rey.

Après qu'Abram fut revenu vainqueur de Kedorlaomer et des rois qui étaient avec lui, le roi de Sodome sortit à sa rencontre dans la vallée de Schavé, qui est la vallée du roi.

And the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that [is,] the King's Valley), after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who [were] with him.

Une hartan, Melkisedek Xalemgo erregeak ogi-ardoak atera zituen, Goi-goiko Jainkoaren apaiza baitzen,

Entonces Melquisedec, rey de Salem y sacerdote del Dios Altísimo, sacó pan y vino;

Melchisédek, roi de Salem, fit apporter du pain et du vin: il était sacrificateur du Dieu Très-Haut.

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he [was] the priest of God Most High.

y lo bendijo, diciendo: "Bendito sea Abram del Dios Altísimo, creador de los cielos y de la tierra;

Il bénit Abram, et dit: Béni soit Abram par le Dieu Très-Haut, maître du ciel et de la terre !

And he blessed him and said: "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;

Eta bedeinkatua izan bedi Goi-goiko Jainkoa, zure etsaien garaile egin zaituelako". Abramek guztiaren hamarrenak eman zizkion Melkisedeki.

y bendito sea el Dios Altísimo, que entregó a tus enemigos en tus manos". Y le dio Abram los diezmos de todo.

Béni soit le Dieu Très-Haut, qui a livré tes ennemis entre tes mains ! Et Abram lui donna la dîme de tout.

And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand." And he gave him a tithe of all.

Sodomako erregeak esan zion Abrami: -Itzul iezadazu neure jendea, eta gorde zeuretzat gudu-harrapakinak.

Entonces el rey de Sodoma dijo a Abram: -- Dame las personas y toma para ti los bienes.

Le roi de Sodome dit à Abram: Donne -moi les personnes, et prends pour toi les richesses.

Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the persons, and take the goods for yourself."

Abramek ihardetsi zion: -Jaunarengatik, zeru-lurren egile den Goi-goiko Jainkoarengatik, dagit zin

Respondió Abram al rey de Sodoma: -- He jurado a Jehová, Dios Altísimo, creador de los cielos y de la tierra,

Abram répondit au roi de Sodome: Je lève la main vers l'Éternel, le Dieu Très-Haut, maître du ciel et de la terre:

But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth,

ez dudala zurerik deus hartuko, ezta oinetako lokarririk ere, Abram aberastu duzula esaterik izan ez dezazun.

que ni un hilo ni una correa de calzado tomaré de todo lo que es tuyo, para que no digas: "Yo enriquecí a Abram";

je ne prendrai rien de tout ce qui est à toi, pas même un fil, ni un cordon de soulier, afin que tu ne dises pas: J'ai enrichi Abram. Rien pour moi!

"that I [will take] nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that [is] yours, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich' --

Ez dut ezer ere nahi neuretzat, nire gizonek jan dutena eta Aner, Exkol eta Mamre nire lagunei dagokiena izan ezik. Hauek har dezatela berena.

excepto solamente lo que comieron los jóvenes. Pero los hombres que fueron conmigo, Aner, Escol y Mamre, sí tomarán su parte.

Seulement, ce qu'ont mangé les jeunes gens, et la part des hommes qui ont marché avec moi, Aner, Eschcol et Mamré: eux, ils prendront leur part.

"except only what the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion."

Gertakizun hauen ondoren, Jauna ikuskari batean mintzatu zitzaion Abrami, esanez: -Ez izan beldur, Abram! Zure babesle nauzu, eta sari bikaina emango dizut.

Después de estas cosas vino la palabra de Jehová a Abram en visión, diciendo: -- No temas, Abram, yo soy tu escudo, y tu recompensa será muy grande.

Après ces événements, la parole de l'Éternel fut adressée à Abram dans une vision, et il dit: Abram, ne crains point; je suis ton bouclier, et ta récompense sera très grande.

After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, "Do not be afraid, Abram. I [am] your shield, your exceedingly great reward."

Abramek, ordea, erantzun zion: -Jauna, ene Jainkoa, zer eman diezadakezu, baldin semerik gabe banoa mundutik, eta nire etxaldearen oinordeko Eliezer damaskoarra izango bada?

Respondió Abram: -- Señor Jehová, ¿qué me darás, si no me has dado hijos y el mayordomo de mi casa es ese Eliezer, el damasceno?

Abram répondit: Seigneur Éternel, que me donneras -tu? Je m'en vais sans enfants; et l'héritier de ma maison, c 'est Éliézer de Damas.

But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house [is] Eliezer of Damascus?"

Hara -erantsi zuen Abramek-, semerik ez didazu eman eta neure etxeko morroia izango dut oinordeko!

Dijo también Abram: -- Como no me has dado prole, mi heredero será un esclavo nacido en mi casa.

Abram dit: «Voici que tu ne m'as pas donné de descendance et c'est un membre de ma maison qui doit hériter de moi.»

Then Abram said, "Look, You have given me no offspring; indeed one born in my house is my heir!"

Jaunak esan zion: -Ez horixe! Morroia ez, baizik eta zeuregandik jaioko dena izango duzu oinordeko.

Luego vino a él palabra de Jehová, diciendo: -- No te heredará este, sino que un hijo tuyo será el que te herede.

Alors la parole de l'Éternel lui fut adressée ainsi: Ce n'est pas lui qui sera ton héritier, mais c'est celui qui sortira de tes entrailles qui sera ton héritier.

And behold, the word of the LORD [came] to him, saying, "This one shall not be your heir, but one who will come from your own body shall be your heir."

Ondoren, kanpora aterarazi eta esan zion: "Begira zerura eta zenbatu izarrak, ahal baduzu. Horiek bezainbat izango dira zure ondorengoak".

Entonces lo llevó fuera y le dijo: -- Mira ahora los cielos y cuenta las estrellas, si es que las puedes contar. Y añadió: -- Así será tu descendencia.

Et après l'avoir conduit dehors, il dit: Regarde vers le ciel, et compte les étoiles, si tu peux les compter. Et il lui dit: Telle sera ta postérité.

Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be."

Abramek sinetsi egin zuen Jaunarengan eta, honengatik, Jaunak zuzenetsi egin zuen.

Abram creyó a Jehová y le fue contado por justicia.

Abram eut confiance en l'Éternel, qui le lui imputa à justice.

And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Jaunak esan zion Abrami: -Ni Jauna naiz. Nik irtenarazi zintudan kaldearren Ur hiritik lurralde hau zuri emateko.

Jehová le dijo: -- Yo soy Jehová, que te saqué de Ur de los caldeos para darte a heredar esta tierra.

L'Éternel lui dit encore: Je suis l'Éternel, qui t'ai fait sortir d'Ur en Chaldée, pour te donner en possession ce pays.

Then He said to him, "I [am] the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it."

-Jauna, ene Jainkoa -erantzun zion Abramek-, nola jakin nezake lurralde hau neurea izango dudala?

Abram respondió: -- Señor Jehová, ¿en qué conoceré que la he de heredar?

Abram répondit: Seigneur Éternel, à quoi connaîtrai -je que je le posséderai ?

And he said, "Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?"

Jaunak esan zion: -Ekarri txahal bat, ahuntz bat eta ahari bat, hiruna urtekoak, usapal bat eta usakume bat.

Jehová le dijo: -- Tráeme una becerra de tres años, una cabra de tres años y un carnero de tres años; y una tórtola y un palomino.

Et l'Éternel lui dit: Prends une génisse de trois ans, une chèvre de trois ans, un bélier de trois ans, une tourterelle et une jeune colombe.

So He said to him, "Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon."

Abere guztiok eskuratuz, Abramek erdi bi egin zituen, eta puskak bata bestearen aurrez aurre ipini; hegaztiak ez zituen erdibitu.

Tomó Abram todos estos animales, los partió por la mitad y puso cada mitad enfrente de la otra; pero no partió las aves.

Abram prit tous ces animaux, les coupa par le milieu, et mit chaque morceau l'un vis-à-vis de l'autre; mais il ne partagea point les oiseaux.

Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two.

Hegazti harrapariak abere hilen gainera etorri ziren, baina Abramek uxatu egin zituen.

Y descendían aves de rapiña sobre los cuerpos muertos, pero Abram las ahuyentaba.

Les oiseaux de proie s'abattirent sur les cadavres; et Abram les chassa.

And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

Eguzkia sartzean, lozorroan murgildu zen Abram. Izua eta larria nagusitu zitzaizkion.

A la caída del sol cayó sobre Abram un profundo sopor, y el temor de una gran oscuridad cayó sobre él.

Au coucher du soleil, un profond sommeil tomba sur Abram; et voici, une frayeur et une grande obscurité vinrent l'assaillir.

Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror [and] great darkness fell upon him.

Orduan, Jaunak esan zion: "Jakizu zure ondorengoak atzerritar gisa biziko direla berena ez duten lurraldean. Esklabo bihurtuko dituzte eta zapaldurik edukiko laurehun urtez.

Entonces Jehová le dijo: -- Ten por cierto que tu descendencia habitará en tierra ajena, será esclava allí y será oprimida cuatrocientos años.

Et l'Éternel dit à Abram: Sache que tes descendants seront étrangers dans un pays qui ne sera point à eux; ils y seront asservis, et on les opprimera pendant quatre cents ans.

Then He said to Abram: "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land [that is] not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years.

Alabaina, zigortu eginen dut esklabo bihurtuko dituen herria; ondoren, aberastasunez beterik irtenaraziko ditut.

Pero también a la nación a la cual servirán juzgaré yo; y después de esto saldrán con gran riqueza.

Mais je jugerai la nation à laquelle ils seront asservis, et ils sortiront ensuite avec de grandes richesses.

"And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.

Laugarren belaunaldian itzuliko dira hona, ez baita ordurarte bere betera helduko amortarren gaiztakeria. Zu, berriz, zahartzaro zoriontsua izan ondoren, zeure arbasoekin elkartuko zara bakean".

Tú, en tanto, te reunirás en paz con tus padres y serás sepultado en buena vejez.

Toi, tu iras en paix vers tes pères, tu seras enterré après une heureuse vieillesse.

"Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age.

Eguzkia sartu eta iluna egin zenean, labe bat ketan eta zuzi bat sutan igaro ziren hildako abereen artetik.

Cuando se puso el sol y todo estaba oscuro, apareció un horno humeante y una antorcha de fuego que pasaba por entre los animales divididos.

Quand le soleil fut couché, il y eut une obscurité profonde; et voici, ce fut une fournaise fumante, et des flammes passèrent entre les animaux partagés.

And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces.

Egun hartan, Jaunak agintzari hau egin zion Abrami: "Lurralde hau zure ondorengoei ematen diet, Egiptoko ibaitik hasi eta Eufrates ibai handiraino:

Aquel día hizo Jehová un pacto con Abram, diciendo: -- A tu descendencia daré esta tierra, desde el río de Egipto hasta el río grande, el Éufrates:

En ce jour-là, l'Éternel fit alliance avec Abram, et dit: Je donne ce pays à ta postérité, depuis le fleuve d'Égypte jusqu'au grand fleuve, au fleuve d'Euphrate,

On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates --

orain kendarrak, keniztarrak, kadmondarrak,

la tierra de los ceneos, los cenezeos, los cadmoneos,

le pays des Kéniens, des Keniziens, des Kadmoniens,

"the Kenites, the Kenezzites, the Kadmonites,

hitiarrak, periztarrak, refatarrak,

los heteos, los ferezeos, los refaítas,

des Héthiens, des Phéréziens, des Rephaïm,

"the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,

amortarrak, kanaandarrak, girgaxtarrak eta jebustarrak bizi direneko lurraldea, alegia".

los amorreos, los cananeos, los gergeseos y los jebuseos.

des Amoréens, des Cananéens, des Guirgasiens et des Jébusiens.

"the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Girgashites, and the Jebusites."

Saraik, Abramen emazteak, ez zion semerik ematen. Bazuen, ordea, Agar izeneko mirabe egiptoarra,

Sarai, mujer de Abram, no le daba hijos; pero tenía una sierva egipcia que se llamaba Agar.

Saraï, femme d'Abram, ne lui avait point donné d'enfants. Elle avait une servante Égyptienne, nommée Agar.

Now Sarai, Abram's wife, had borne him no [children.] And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar.

eta Saraik esan zion Abrami: "Begira, Jaunak agor egin nau. Elkar zaitez, bada, nire mirabearekin. Beharbada, izango dut semerik haren bitartez". Abramek onartu egin zuen Sarairen proposamena,

Dijo Sarai a Abram: -- Ya ves que Jehová me ha hecho estéril; te ruego, pues, que te llegues a mi sierva, y quizá tendré hijos de ella. Atendió Abram el ruego de Sarai.

Et Saraï dit à Abram: Voici, l'Éternel m'a rendue stérile; viens, je te prie, vers ma servante; peut-être aurai-je par elle des enfants. Abram écouta la voix de Saraï.

So Sarai said to Abram, "See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing [children.] Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her." And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

eta Saraik Agar mirabe egiptoarra eman zion bere senarrari emaztetzat. Hamar urte zeramatzaten bizitzen Kanaanen.

Así, al cabo de diez años de habitar Abram en Canaán, su mujer Sarai tomó a Agar, su sierva egipcia, y la dio por mujer a su marido Abram.

Alors Saraï, femme d'Abram, prit Agar, l'Égyptienne, sa servante, et la donna pour femme à Abram, son mari, après qu'Abram eut habité dix années dans le pays de Canaan.

Then Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.

Abram Agarrekin batu eta hau haurdun gertatu zen. Horretaz ohartzean, etxekoandreari mesprezioz begiratzen hasi zen Agar.

Él se llegó, pues, a Agar, la cual concibió; pero al ver que había concebido, miraba con desprecio a su señora.

Il alla vers Agar, et elle devint enceinte. Quand elle se vit enceinte, elle regarda sa maîtresse avec mépris.

So he went in to Hagar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress became despised in her eyes.

Orduan, Saraik esan zion Abrami: -Zeu zara mesprezio horren erantzule. Neuk eman nizun besoetara mirabea. Baina haurdun dagoela ohartu deneko, gutxietsi egiten nau. Jaunak erabaki beza nork duen arrazoi gu bion artean.

Entonces Sarai dijo a Abram: -- ¡Mi agravio sea sobre ti! Yo te di a mi sierva por mujer, pero al verse encinta me mira con desprecio. ¡Juzgue Jehová entre tú y yo!

Et Saraï dit à Abram: L'outrage qui m'est fait retombe sur toi. J'ai mis ma servante dans ton sein; et, quand elle a vu qu'elle était enceinte, elle m'a regardée avec mépris. Que l'Éternel soit juge entre moi et toi!

Then Sarai said to Abram, "My wrong [be] upon you! I gave my maid into your embrace; and when she saw that she had conceived, I became despised in her eyes. The LORD judge between you and me."

Abramek esan zion: -Zeure esku duzu mirabea. Egiozu hobekien deritzozuna. Saraik gaizki hartu zuen Agar, eta honek ihes egin zuen.

Respondió Abram a Sarai: -- Mira, tu sierva está en tus manos. Haz con ella lo que bien te parezca. Y como Sarai la afligía, Agar huyó de su presencia.

Abram répondit à Saraï: Voici, ta servante est en ton pouvoir, agis à son égard comme tu le trouveras bon. Alors Saraï la maltraita; et Agar s'enfuit loin d'elle.

So Abram said to Sarai, "Indeed your maid [is] in your hand; do to her as you please." And when Sarai dealt harshly with her, she fled from her presence.

Jaunaren aingeruak basamortuan, Xur bidean dagoen iturri ondoan, aurkitu zuen

La halló el ángel de Jehová junto a una fuente de agua en el desierto, junto a la fuente que está en el camino de Shur.

L'ange de l'Éternel la trouva près d'une source d'eau dans le désert, près de la source qui est sur le chemin de Schur.

Now the Angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur.

eta honela mintzatu zitzaion: -Agar, Sarairen mirabe hori, nondik zatoz eta nora zoaz? -Sarai neure etxekoandreagandik nator ihesi -erantzun zion Agarrek.

Y le dijo: -- Agar, sierva de Sarai, ¿de dónde vienes y a dónde vas? Ella respondió: -- Huyo de delante de Sarai, mi señora.

Il dit: Agar, servante de Saraï, d'où viens -tu, et où vas-tu ? Elle répondit: Je fuis loin de Saraï, ma maîtresse.

And He said, "Hagar, Sarai's maid, where have you come from, and where are you going?" She said, "I am fleeing from the presence of my mistress Sarai."

Jaunaren aingeruak esan zion: -Itzuli zeure etxekoandreagana, eta izan zakizkio menpeko.

Le dijo el ángel de Jehová: -- Vuélvete a tu señora y ponte sumisa bajo su mano.

L'ange de l'Éternel lui dit: Retourne vers ta maîtresse, et humilie-toi sous sa main.

The Angel of the LORD said to her, "Return to your mistress, and submit yourself under her hand."

Eta berriro Jaunaren aingeruak: -Konta ezin hainbat ugalduko ditut zure ondorengoak.

Le dijo también el ángel de Jehová: -- Multiplicaré tanto tu descendencia, que por ser tanta no podrá ser contada.

L'ange de l'Éternel lui dit: Je multiplierai ta postérité, et elle sera si nombreuse qu'on ne pourra la compter.

Then the Angel of the LORD said to her, "I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude."

Haurdun zaude eta semea izango duzu, eta Ismael ezarriko diozu izen, entzun baitizu Jaunak zeure atsekabean.

Y añadió el ángel de Jehová: -- Has concebido y darás a luz un hijo, y le pondrás por nombre Ismael porque Jehová ha oído tu aflicción.

L'ange de l'Éternel lui dit: Voici, tu es enceinte, et tu enfanteras un fils, à qui tu donneras le nom d'Ismaël; car l'Éternel t'a entendue dans ton affliction.

And the Angel of the LORD said to her: "Behold, you [are] with child, And you shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael, Because the LORD has heard your affliction.

Basastoa bezalakoa izango da, denen aurka borrokatuko da, eta denak izango ditu aurka. Anaia guztiengandik aparte biziko da.

Será un hombre fiero, su mano se levantará contra todos y la mano de todos contra él; y habitará delante de todos sus hermanos.

Il sera comme un âne sauvage; sa main sera contre tous, et la main de tous sera contre lui; et il habitera en face de tous ses frères.

He shall be a wild man; His hand [shall be] against every man, And every man's hand against him. And he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren."

Agarrek "Zeu zara ikusi nauzun Jainkoa" eman zion izen mintzatu zitzaion Jainkoari, hau baitzioen: "Ez dut, bada, ni ikusi nauena bera ikusi?"

Entonces dio Agar a Jehová, que hablaba con ella, el nombre de: "Tú eres el Dios que me ve", porque dijo: "¿Acaso no he visto aquí al que me ve?".

Elle appela Atta-El-roï le nom de l'Éternel qui lui avait parlé; car elle dit: Ai-je rien vu ici, après qu'il m'a vue ?

Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, "Have I also here seen Him who sees me?"

Horregatik, Kadex eta Bered artean dagoen ur-putzuari Lahai-Roi deritza, hau da, "Bizi denak ikusi nau".

Por lo cual llamó al pozo: "Pozo del Viviente-que-me-ve". Este pozo está entre Cades y Bered.
