Now the tablets [were] the work of God, and the writing [was] the writing of God engraved on the tablets.

Cuando Josu? oy? el clamor del pueblo que gritaba, dijo a Mois?s: -- Hay gritos de pelea en el campamento.

Josu? entendit la voix du peuple, qui poussait des cris, et il dit ? Mo?se: Il y a un cri de guerre dans le camp.

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, "[There is] a noise of war in the camp."

Moisesek erantzun zion: -Ez dira garaileen oihuak, ezta garaituenak ere; festa-oihuak dira entzuten ditudanak.

Pero Mois?s respondi?: -- No son voces de vencedores, ni alaridos de vencidos; oigo c?nticos de coros.

Mo?se r?pondit: Ce n'est ni un cri de vainqueurs, ni un cri de vaincus; ce que j'entends, c'est la voix de gens qui chantent.

But he said: "[It is] not the noise of the shout of victory, Nor the noise of the cry of defeat, [But] the sound of singing I hear."

Et, comme il approchait du camp, il vit le veau et les danses. La col?re de Mo?se s'enflamma; il jeta de ses mains les tables, et les brisa au pied de la montagne.

So it was, as soon as he came near the camp, that he saw the calf [and] the dancing. So Moses' anger became hot, and he cast the tablets out of his hands and broke them at the foot of the mountain.

Then he took the calf which they had made, burned [it] in the fire, and ground [it] to powder; and he scattered [it] on the water and made the children of Israel drink [it.]

Eta Aaroni galdegin zion: -Zer egin dizu herri honek? Nola eginarazi diozu halako bekatu larria?

Y dijo Mois?s a Aar?n: -- ?Qu? te ha hecho este pueblo para que hayas tra?do sobre ?l tan gran pecado?

Mo?se dit ? Aaron: Que t'a fait ce peuple, pour que tu l'aies laiss? commettre un si grand p?ch? ?

And Moses said to Aaron, "What did this people do to you that you have brought [so] great a sin upon them?"

So Aaron said, "Do not let the anger of my lord become hot. You know the people, that they [are set] on evil.

"For they said to me, 'Make us gods that shall go before us; [as for] this Moses, the man who brought us out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.'

"And I said to them, 'Whoever has any gold, let them break [it] off.' So they gave [it] to me, and I cast it into the fire, and this calf came out."

Now when Moses saw that the people [were] unrestrained (for Aaron had not restrained them, to [their] shame among their enemies),

then Moses stood in the entrance of the camp, and said, "Whoever [is] on the LORD's side -- [come] to me." And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.

And he said to them, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Let every man put his sword on his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.' "

So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand men of the people fell that day.

Then Moses said, "Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, that He may bestow on you a blessing this day, for every man has opposed his son and his brother."

Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people, "You have committed a great sin. So now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin."

Hala, Jaunarengana itzuli eta esan zion: -Benetan bekatu larria egin du herri honek, urrezko jainkoa eginez.

Entonces volvi? Mois?s ante Jehov? y le dijo: -- Puesto que este pueblo ha cometido un gran pecado al hacerse dioses de oro,

Then Moses returned to the LORD and said, "Oh, these people have committed a great sin, and have made for themselves a god of gold!

te ruego que perdones ahora su pecado, y si no, b?rrame del libro que has escrito.

Pardonne maintenant leur p?ch? ! Sinon, efface -moi de ton livre que tu as ?crit.

"Yet now, if You will forgive their sin -- but if not, I pray, blot me out of Your book which You have written."

Jehov? respondi? a Mois?s: -- Al que peque contra m?, lo borrar? yo de mi libro.

L'?ternel dit ? Mo?se: C'est celui qui a p?ch? contre moi que j'effacerai de mon livre.

And the LORD said to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against Me, I will blot him out of My book.

Zoaz orain, eraman herria esan dizudan lekura. Nire aingeruak gidatuko zaitu. Baina iritsiko da zigor-eguna: orduan zigortuko ditut beren bekatuagatik.

Ve, pues, ahora, lleva a este pueblo a donde te he dicho. Mi ?ngel ir? delante de ti, pero en el d?a del castigo, los castigar? por su pecado.

Va donc, conduis le peuple o? je t'ai dit. Voici, mon ange marchera devant toi, mais au jour de ma vengeance, je les punirai de leur p?ch?.

"Now therefore, go, lead the people to [the place] of which I have spoken to you. Behold, My Angel shall go before you. Nevertheless, in the day when I visit for punishment, I will visit punishment upon them for their sin."

Jaunak zigortu egin zuen herria Aaroni zekorra egiteko eskatu ziolako.

Y Jehov? hiri? al pueblo a causa del becerro que hizo Aar?n.

L'?ternel frappa le peuple, parce qu 'il avait fait le veau, fabriqu? par Aaron.

So the LORD plagued the people because of what they did with the calf which Aaron made.

L'?ternel dit ? Mo?se: Va, pars d'ici, toi et le peuple que tu as fait sortir du pays d'?gypte; monte vers le pays que j'ai jur? de donner ? Abraham, ? Isaac et ? Jacob, en disant: Je le donnerai ? ta post?rit?.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Depart [and] go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'To your descendants I will give it.'

Aingerua bidaliko dizut gida zaitzan, eta bota egingo ditut lurralde hartatik kanaandar, amortar, hitiar, periztar, hibiar eta jebustarrak.

"And I will send [My] Angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.

Subir?s a la tierra que fluye leche y miel, pero yo no subir? contigo, no sea que te destruya en el camino, pues eres un pueblo muy terco.

Monte vers ce pays o? coulent le lait et le miel. Mais je ne monterai point au milieu de toi, de peur que je ne te consume en chemin, car tu es un peuple au cou raide.

"[Go up] to a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you [are] a stiff-necked people."

Goibel jarri zen herria halako hitz gogorrak entzutean, eta ez zen inor festa-jantziz apaindu,

Al oir el pueblo esta mala noticia, guard? luto, y ninguno se puso sus galas,

Lorsque le peuple eut entendu ces sinistres paroles, il fut dans la d?solation, et personne ne mit ses ornements.

And when the people heard this bad news, they mourned, and no one put on his ornaments.

Jaunak esana baitzion Moisesi: "Esan israeldarrei: Herri burugogorra zarete! Apur batez zuekin joango banintz, hondatu egingo zintuzketet. Erantzi, bada, festa-jantziak, eta ikusiko dut zer egin zuekin".

pues Jehov? hab?a dicho a Mois?s: "Di a los hijos de Israel: "Vosotros sois un pueblo muy terco. Si yo subiera un momento en medio de ti, te consumir?a. Qu?tate, pues, ahora tus atav?os, para que yo sepa lo que te he de hacer"".

Et l'?ternel dit ? Mo?se: Dis aux enfants d'Isra?l: Vous ?tes un peuple au cou raide; si je montais un seul instant au milieu de toi, je te consumerais. Ote maintenant tes ornements de dessus toi, et je verrai ce que je te ferai.

For the LORD had said to Moses, "Say to the children of Israel, 'You [are] a stiff-necked people. I could come up into your midst in one moment and consume you. Now therefore, take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do to you.' "

Honela, Horeb menditik aurrera, ez zuten israeldarrek festa-jantzirik erabili.

Entonces los hijos de Israel se despojaron de sus galas desde el monte Horeb.

Les enfants d'Isra?l se d?pouill?rent de leurs ornements, en s'?loignant du mont Horeb.

So the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by Mount Horeb.

Hartu zuen Moisesek etxola eta kanpalekutik urruti ezarri zuen. "Elkarketa-etxola" eman zion izen. Jaunaren nahia jakin nahi zuena, kanpalekutik aparte zegoen elkarketa-etxolara joaten zen.

Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp, far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting. And it came to pass [that] everyone who sought the LORD went out to the tabernacle of meeting which [was] outside the camp.

Lorsque Mo?se se rendait ? la tente, tout le peuple se levait; chacun se tenait ? l'entr?e de sa tente, et suivait des yeux Mo?se, jusqu'? ce qu'il f?t entr? dans la tente.

So it was, whenever Moses went out to the tabernacle, [that] all the people rose, and each man stood [at] his tent door and watched Moses until he had gone into the tabernacle.

Moises hara sartu orduko, laino-adarra jaisten zen eta etxola-sarreran gelditzen, Jaunak Moisesekin hitz egiten zuen bitartean.

And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood [at] the door of the tabernacle, and [the] [Lord] talked with Moses.

All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing [at] the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man [in] his tent door.

Jaunak aurrez aurre egiten zuen hitz Moisesekin, lagunak lagunarekin hitz egiten duen bezala. Ondoren, Moises kanpalekura itzultzen zen; baina haren laguntzaile Josue, Nunen semea, ez zen etxola barrutik aldentzen.

So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.

Moisesek esan zion Jaunari: -Begira, zuk herri hau gidatzeko esaten didazu, baina ez didazu esaten nor bidaliko didazun laguntzeko. Esan didazu nitaz fio zarela ere eta gogoko nauzula.

Dijo Mois?s a Jehov?: -- Mira, t? me dices: "Saca a este pueblo", pero no me has indicado a qui?n enviar?s conmigo. Sin embargo, t? dices: "Yo te he conocido por tu nombre y has hallado tambi?n gracia a mis ojos".

Mo?se dit ? l'?ternel: Voici, tu me dis: Fais monter ce peuple ! Et tu ne me fais pas conna?tre qui tu enverras avec moi. Cependant, tu as dit: Je te connais par ton nom, et tu as trouv? gr?ce ? mes yeux.

Then Moses said to the LORD, "See, You say to me, 'Bring up this people.' But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.'

Hori egia bada, ager iezazkidazu zeure asmoak; horrela jakingo dut egiaz gogoko nauzula. Kontuan izan gero, herri hau zeure herri duzula.

Pues bien, si he hallado gracia a tus ojos, te ruego que me muestres ahora tu camino, para que te conozca y halle gracia a tus ojos; y mira que esta gente es tu pueblo.

Maintenant, si j'ai trouv? gr?ce ? tes yeux, fais-moi conna?tre tes voies; alors je te conna?trai, et je trouverai encore gr?ce ? tes yeux. Consid?re que cette nation est ton peuple.

"Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation [is] Your people."

Jaunak esan zion: -Ni neu joango naiz zurekin eta atseden emango dizut.

Jehov? le dijo: -- Mi presencia te acompa?ar? y te dar? descanso.

L'?ternel r?pondit: Je marcherai moi-m?me avec toi, et je te donnerai du repos.

And He said, "My Presence will go [with you,] and I will give you rest."

Moisesek erantzun zion: -Zeu gurekin ez etortzekotan, ez gaitzazu hemendik abiarazi.

Mois?s respondi?: -- Si tu presencia no ha de acompa?arnos, no nos saques de aqu?.

Mo?se lui dit: Si tu ne marches pas toi-m?me avec nous, ne nous fais point partir d'ici.

Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go [with us,] do not bring us up from here.

Nola jakin zeure herri hau eta neu gogoko gaituzula, zu zeu gurekin ez bazatoz? Horrela bakarrik izango baikara zure herri hau eta ni beste herriak ez bezalakoak.

Pues ?en qu? se conocer? aqu? que he hallado gracia a tus ojos, yo y tu pueblo, sino en que t? andas con nosotros, y que yo y tu pueblo hemos sido apartados de entre todos los pueblos que est?n sobre la faz de la tierra?

Comment sera-t-il donc certain que j'ai trouv? gr?ce ? tes yeux, moi et ton peuple ? Ne sera-ce pas quand tu marcheras avec nous, et quand nous serons distingu?s, moi et ton peuple, de tous les peuples qui sont sur la face de la terre ?

"For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who [are] upon the face of the earth."

Jaunak esan zion: -Esan duzun hori ere egingo dut, gogoko baitzaitut eta fio bainaiz zutaz.

-- Tambi?n har? esto que has dicho, por cuanto has hallado gracia a mis ojos y te he conocido por tu nombre --respondi? Jehov? a Mois?s.

So the LORD said to Moses, "I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name."

Entonces dijo Mois?s: -- Te ruego que me muestres tu gloria.

Mo?se dit: Fais-moi voir ta gloire !

And he said, "Please, show me Your glory."

Then He said, "I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."

And the LORD said, "Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.

Quand ma gloire passera, je te mettrai dans un creux du rocher, et je te couvrirai de ma main jusqu'? ce que j'aie pass?.

"So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.

And the LORD said to Moses, "Cut two tablets of stone like the first [ones,] and I will write on [these] tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke.

Prep?rate, pues, para ma?ana, sube de ma?ana al monte Sina? y pres?ntate ante m? sobre la cumbre del monte.

"So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain.

Ez dadila inor zurekin igo, ezta agertu ere mendi aldera; ez dadila ardi nahiz behirik larrean ibil mendi inguruan".

Que no suba nadie contigo ni aparezca nadie en todo el monte. Ni ovejas ni bueyes pasten frente al monte.

Que personne ne monte avec toi, et que personne ne paraisse sur toute la montagne; et m?me que ni brebis ni boeufs ne paissent pr?s de cette montagne.

"And no man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let neither flocks nor herds feed before that mountain."

Moisesek lehengoak bezalako bi harlosa ebaki zituen. Eta biharamunean, goizean goiz, harlosa biak harturik, Sinai mendira igo zen, Jaunak agindu bezala.

So he cut two tablets of stone like the first [ones.] Then Moses rose early in the morning and went up Mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone.

Orduan, Jainko Jauna laino batean jaitsi eta Moisesekin egon zen, eta bere izena hots egin zuen: "Jauna".

Descendi? Jehov? en la nube y permaneci? all? junto a ?l; y ?l proclam? el nombre de Jehov?.

L'?ternel descendit dans une nu?e, se tint l? aupr?s de lui, et proclama le nom de l'?ternel.

Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

Et l'?ternel passa devant lui, et s'?cria: L'?ternel, l'?ternel, Dieu mis?ricordieux et compatissant, lent ? la col?re, riche en bont? et en fid?lit?,

And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,

Mila belaunalditaraino onginahiari eusten diona; gaiztakeria, errebeldia eta bekatua barkatzen dituena; ez, ordea, erruduna zigor gabe uzten, baizik eta gurasoen gaiztakeria semeengan eta semeen semeengan zigortzen duena, hirugarren eta laugarren belaunaldiraino".

que guarda misericordia a millares, que perdona la iniquidad, la rebeli?n y el pecado, pero que de ning?n modo tendr? por inocente al malvado; que castiga la maldad de los padres en los hijos y en los hijos de los hijos, hasta la tercera y cuarta generaci?n.

qui conserve son amour jusqu'? mille g?n?rations, qui pardonne l'iniquit?, la r?bellion et le p?ch?, mais qui ne tient point le coupable pour innocent, et qui punit l'iniquit? des p?res sur les enfants et sur les enfants des enfants jusqu'? la troisi?me et ? la quatri?me g?n?ration!

"keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing [the guilty,] visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."
