Y harás lo que indique la sentencia que te dicten los del lugar que Jehová escoja, cuidando de cumplir todo lo que te manifiesten.

Tu te conformeras à ce qu'ils te diront dans le lieu que choisira l'Éternel, et tu auras soin d'agir d'après tout ce qu'ils t'enseigneront.

"You shall do according to the sentence which they pronounce upon you in that place which the LORD chooses. And you shall be careful to do according to all that they order you.

Haiek emandako argibideen eta epaiaren arabera jokatuko duzue, ezertan ere saihestu gabe.

Procederás según las instrucciones que te den y el juicio que te pronuncien; no te apartarás ni a la derecha ni a la izquierda de la sentencia que te dicten.

Tu te conformeras à la loi qu'ils t'enseigneront et à la sentence qu'ils auront prononcée; tu ne te détourneras de ce qu'ils te diront ni à droite ni à gauche.

"According to the sentence of the law in which they instruct you, according to the judgment which they tell you, you shall do; you shall not turn aside [to] the right hand or [to] the left from the sentence which they pronounce upon you.

"Baina, harrokeriak eraginda, Jaunaren zuen Jainkoaren zerbitzuan dagoen apaizaren nahiz epailearen erabakia onartu nahi ez duena hil egin behar duzue. Horrela ezabatuko duzue gaiztakeria Israeldik.

El hombre que proceda con soberbia, no obedeciendo al sacerdote que está para ministrar allí delante de Jehová, tu Dios, o al juez, ese morirá. Así apartarás el mal de en medio de Israel.

L'homme qui, par orgueil, n'écoutera pas le sacrificateur placé là pour servir l'Éternel, ton Dieu, ou qui n'écoutera pas le juge, cet homme sera puni de mort. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu d'Israël,

"Now the man who acts presumptuously and will not heed the priest who stands to minister there before the LORD your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall put away the evil from Israel.

Horren berri jakitean, beldur izango da herria, eta ez da aurrerantzean harrokerian eroriko.

Y cuando todo el pueblo lo sepa, temerá y no se ensoberbecerá.

afin que tout le peuple entende et craigne, et qu'il ne se livre plus à l'orgueil.

"And all the people shall hear and fear, and no longer act presumptuously.

"Jaunak zeuen Jainkoak ematen dizuen lurraldean sartu, hartaz jabetu eta bertan bizitzen jartzean, erregea nahi izango duzue agian, inguruko herri guztiek bezala.

"Cuando hayas entrado en la tierra que Jehová, tu Dios, te da, tomes posesión de ella, la habites y digas: "Voy a poner un rey sobre mí, como todas las naciones que están en mis alrededores",

Lorsque tu seras entré dans le pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne, lorsque tu le posséderas, que tu y auras établi ta demeure, et que tu diras: Je veux mettre un roi sur moi, comme toutes les nations qui m'entourent, -

" When you come to the land which the LORD your God is giving you, and possess it and dwell in it, and say, 'I will set a king over me like all the nations that [are] around me,'

Hala bada, Jaunak zuen Jainkoak aukeratuko duena egingo duzue errege. Herritarra beharko du izan erregeak; ez zaizue zilegi atzerritarrik zeuen buru jartzea, herrikoren bat baizik.

ciertamente pondrás como rey sobre ti al que Jehová, tu Dios, escoja. A uno de tus hermanos pondrás sobre ti como rey; no podrás poner sobre ti a un hombre extranjero que no sea tu hermano.

tu mettras sur toi un roi que choisira l'Éternel, ton Dieu, tu prendras un roi du milieu de tes frères, tu ne pourras pas te donner un étranger, qui ne soit pas ton frère.

"you shall surely set a king over you whom the LORD your God chooses; [one] from among your brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner over you, who [is] not your brother.

"Erregeak ezin izango du zaldi asko eduki, ezta jendea Egiptora bidali ere bere zalditeria handitzeko, debekatu egin baitizue Jaunak berriro harako bidea hartzea.

Pero él no deberá tener muchos caballos, ni hará volver al pueblo a Egipto con el fin de adquirir caballos, pues Jehová os ha dicho: "No volváis nunca por este camino".

Mais qu'il n'ait pas un grand nombre de chevaux; et qu'il ne ramène pas le peuple en Égypte pour avoir beaucoup de chevaux; car l'Éternel vous a dit: Vous ne retournerez plus par ce chemin -là.

"But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the LORD has said to you, 'You shall not return that way again.'

Ez du emakume askorik izango, haren bihotza desbidera ez dadin, ezta pilatuko ere urre eta zilar larregi.

Tampoco deberá tener muchas mujeres, para que su corazón no se desvíe; ni amontonará para sí demasiada plata ni oro.

Qu'il n'ait pas un grand nombre de femmes, afin que son coeur ne se détourne point; et qu'il ne fasse pas de grands amas d'argent et d'or.

"Neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself.

"Errege-agintea hartzean, lege hau kopiaraziko du beretzat, apaiz lebitarren zainpean egongo den liburutik.

"Cuando se siente sobre el trono de su reino, entonces escribirá para sí en un libro una copia de esta Ley, del original que está al cuidado de los sacerdotes levitas.

Quand il s'assiéra sur le trône de son royaume, il écrira pour lui, dans un livre, une copie de cette loi, qu'il prendra auprès des sacrificateurs, les Lévites.

" Also it shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write for himself a copy of this law in a book, from [the one] before the priests, the Levites.

Berekin eramango du beti, eta egunero irakurriko bere bizitza guztian, Jaunaren bere Jainkoaren begirunean bizitzen ikas dezan, lege honen xedapenak eta arauak betetzen saiatuz.

Lo tendrá consigo y lo leerá todos los días de su vida, para que aprenda a temer a Jehová, su Dios, guardando todas las palabras de esta Ley y estos estatutos, y poniéndolos por obra.

Il devra l'avoir avec lui et y lire tous les jours de sa vie, afin qu'il apprenne à craindre l'Éternel, son Dieu, à observer et à mettre en pratique toutes les paroles de cette loi et toutes ces ordonnances;

"And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes,

Horrela, ez da harrotuko, bere burua gainerako herritarrak baino handiagotzat joz, ezta saihestuko ere ezertan aginduetatik. Orduan, bai bera, bai ondorengoak, luzaro izango dira errege Israelen.

Así no se elevará su corazón sobre sus hermanos, ni se apartará de estos mandamientos a la derecha ni a la izquierda, a fin de que él y sus hijos prolonguen los días de su reino en medio de Israel.

afin que son coeur ne s'élève point au-dessus de ses frères, et qu'il ne se détourne de ces commandements ni à droite ni à gauche; afin qu'il prolonge ses jours dans son royaume, lui et ses enfants, au milieu d'Israël.

"that his heart may not be lifted above his brethren, that he may not turn aside from the commandment [to] the right hand or [to] the left, and that he may prolong [his] days in his kingdom, he and his children in the midst of Israel.

"Apaiz lebitarrek, Lebiren leinuko guztiek, alegia, ez dute beste israeldarrek bezala lur-sailik izango ondaretzat: Jaunaren ohorez eskainitako opariak eta Jaunari dagokiona izango dituzte mantenubide.

"Los sacerdotes levitas, es decir, toda la tribu de Leví, no tendrán parte ni heredad en Israel; de las ofrendas quemadas a Jehová y de la heredad de él comerán.

Les sacrificateurs, les Lévites, la tribu entière de Lévi, n'auront ni part ni héritage avec Israël; ils se nourriront des sacrifices consumés par le feu en l'honneur de l'Éternel et de l'héritage de l'Éternel.

"The priests, the Levites -- all the tribe of Levi -- shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel; they shall eat the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and His portion.

Lebitarrek, beraz, ez dute beste israeldarrek bezala ondare-zatirik izango, Jauna baitute ondare, berak hitz eman bezala.

No tendrán, pues, heredad entre sus hermanos; Jehová es su heredad, como él les ha dicho.

Ils n'auront point d'héritage au milieu de leurs frères: l'Éternel sera leur héritage, comme il le leur a dit.

"Therefore they shall have no inheritance among their brethren; the LORD is their inheritance, as He said to them.

"Hona herriak oparitzat eskaintzen dituen zekor eta arkumeetatik lebitarrei eskubidez dagokiena: sorbalda, matrailak eta urdaila.

"Este será el derecho de los sacerdotes sobre aquellos del pueblo que ofrezcan en sacrificio un buey o un cordero: darán al sacerdote la pierna, las quijadas y el cuajar.

Voici quel sera le droit des sacrificateurs sur le peuple, sur ceux qui offriront un sacrifice, un boeuf ou un agneau: on donnera au sacrificateur l'épaule, les mâchoires et l'estomac.

" And this shall be the priest's due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether [it is] bull or sheep: they shall give to the priest the shoulder, the cheeks, and the stomach.

Gari, ardo eta olioaren hasikinak eta ardi-mozketako lehen artilea ere beraiei emango zaizkie.

Las primicias de tu grano, de tu vino y de tu aceite, y las primicias de la lana de tus ovejas le darás,

Tu lui donneras les prémices de ton blé, de ton moût et de ton huile, et les prémices de la toison de tes brebis;

"The firstfruits of your grain and your new wine and your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep, you shall give him.

Izan ere, leinu guztien artean Lebiren leinukoak aukeratu ditu Jaunak zuen Jainkoak, beraren izenean liturgi zerbitzua betiko bete dezaten.

porque a él ha escogido Jehová, tu Dios, de entre todas tus tribus, para que él y sus hijos ministren en el nombre de Jehová para siempre.

car c'est lui que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, a choisi entre toutes les tribus, pour qu'il fasse le service au nom de l'Éternel, lui et ses fils, à toujours.

"For the LORD your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of the LORD, him and his sons forever.

"Israelgo edozein hiritan bizi den lebitarrak, Jaunak beretzat aukeratuko duen lekura joatea erabakitzen badu,

"Cuando salga un levita de cualquiera de las ciudades de Israel donde haya vivido, y vaya con todo el deseo de su alma al lugar que Jehová escoja,

Lorsque le Lévite quittera l'une de tes portes, le lieu quelconque où il demeure en Israël, pour se rendre, selon la plénitude de son désir, au lieu que choisira l'Éternel,

" So if a Levite comes from any of your gates, from where he dwells among all Israel, and comes with all the desire of his mind to the place which the LORD chooses,

Jaunaren bere Jainkoaren ohorez liturgi zerbitzuan jarduteko eskubidea izango du, bertan diharduten senide lebitar guztiek bezalaxe.

ministrará en el nombre de Jehová, su Dios, como todos sus hermanos, los levitas que estén allí delante de Jehová.

et qu'il fera le service au nom de l'Éternel, ton Dieu, comme tous ses frères les Lévites qui se tiennent là devant l'Éternel,

"then he may serve in the name of the LORD his God as all his brethren the Levites [do,] who stand there before the LORD.

Haiena bezalako partea hartuko du bere mantenurako, famili ondasunak saltzetik jaso dezakeenaz gain.

Igual ración a la de los otros comerá, además de sus patrimonios.

il recevra pour sa nourriture une portion égale à la leur, et jouira, en outre, des revenus de la vente de son patrimoine.

"They shall have equal portions to eat, besides what comes from the sale of his inheritance.

"Jaunak zeuen Jainkoak ematen dizuen lurraldera iristean, ez jarraitu hango herrien jokabide higuingarriei:

"Cuando entres a la tierra que Jehová, tu Dios, te da, no aprenderás a hacer según las abominaciones de aquellas naciones.

Lorsque tu seras entré dans le pays que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne, tu n'apprendras point à imiter les abominations de ces nations -là.

" When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations.

ez beza zuetako inork semea nahiz alaba oparitzat erre; ez bedi izan zuen artean geroa igartzeko magiazko baliabide, sorginkeria nahiz aztikeriarik erabiliko duenik,

No sea hallado en ti quien haga pasar a su hijo o a su hija por el fuego, ni quien practique adivinación, ni agorero, ni sortílego, ni hechicero,

Qu'on ne trouve chez toi personne qui fasse passer son fils ou sa fille par le feu, personne qui exerce le métier de devin, d'astrologue, d'augure, de magicien,

"There shall not be found among you [anyone] who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, [or one] who practices witchcraft, [or] a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,

ez liluratzailerik, ezta izpirituei edo hildakoei deika dabilkeenik ere.

ni encantador, ni adivino, ni mago, ni quien consulte a los muertos.

d'enchanteur, personne qui consulte ceux qui évoquent les esprits ou disent la bonne aventure, personne qui interroge les morts.

"or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

Horrelakoak egiten dituen oro higuingarri zaio Jaunari; hain zuzen, higuingarrikeria horiengatik botatzen ditu Jaunak zuen Jainkoak herri horiek zuen aurretik.

Porque es abominable para Jehová cualquiera que hace estas cosas, y por estas cosas abominables Jehová, tu Dios, expulsa a estas naciones de tu presencia.

Car quiconque fait ces choses est en abomination à l'Éternel; et c'est à cause de ces abominations que l'Éternel, ton Dieu, va chasser ces nations devant toi.

"For all who do these things [are] an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you.

"Izan guztiz zintzo Jaunarekin zeuen Jainkoarekin.

Perfecto serás delante de Jehová, tu Dios.

Tu seras entièrement à l'Éternel, ton Dieu.

"You shall be blameless before the LORD your God.

Beren lurraldetik botako dituzuen herriek igarle eta aztiei egiten diete kasu; zuei, ordea, ez dizue Jaunak zeuen Jainkoak horrelakorik lagatzen.

Porque estas naciones que vas a heredar, a agoreros y a adivinos oyen, pero a ti no te ha permitido esto Jehová, tu Dios.

Car ces nations que tu chasseras écoutent les astrologues et les devins; mais à toi, l'Éternel, ton Dieu, ne le permet pas.

"For these nations which you will dispossess listened to soothsayers and diviners; but as for you, the LORD your God has not appointed such for you.

Jaunak zuen Jainkoak ni bezalako profeta sortuko du zuen artetik, herritarren artetik. Entzun berari!

"Un profeta como yo te levantará Jehová, tu Dios, de en medio de ti, de tus hermanos; a él oiréis.

L'Éternel, ton Dieu, te suscitera du milieu de toi, d'entre tes frères, un prophète comme moi: vous l'écouterez !

" The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear,

Horixe da, Horeb mendian bildurik zeundetela Jaunari zeuen Jainkoari eskatu zeniotena: "Ez dugu Jaunaren geure Jainkoaren ahotsa berriro entzun nahi, ezta sute hori ikusi nahi ere, hil egingo baikara bestela".

Conforme a todo lo que pediste a Jehová, tu Dios, en el Horeb, el día de la asamblea, al decir: "No vuelva yo a oir la voz de Jehová, mi Dios, ni vea yo más este gran fuego, para que no muera".

Il répondra ainsi à la demande que tu fis à l'Éternel, ton Dieu, à Horeb, le jour de l'assemblée, quand tu disais: Que je n'entende plus la voix de l'Éternel, mon Dieu, et que je ne voie plus ce grand feu, afin de ne pas mourir.

"according to all you desired of the LORD your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, 'Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my God, nor let me see this great fire anymore, lest I die.'

Orduan, Jaunak esan zidan: "Ongi deritzot herriak esandakoari.

Y Jehová me dijo: "Bien está eso que han dicho".

L'Éternel me dit: Ce qu'ils ont dit est bien.

"And the LORD said to me: 'What they have spoken is good.

Zu bezalako profeta sortaraziko dut herritarren artetik; neure hitzak ezarriko dizkiot ahoan eta nik agindurikoa esango die.

Un profeta como tú les levantaré en medio de sus hermanos; pondré mis palabras en su boca y él les dirá todo lo que yo le mande.

Je leur susciterai du milieu de leurs frères un prophète comme toi, je mettrai mes paroles dans sa bouche, et il leur dira tout ce que je lui commanderai.

'I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him.

Profetak nire izenean adierazitako mezua onartuko ez duenari, neuk eskatuko dizkiot kontuak.

Pero a cualquiera que no oiga las palabras que él pronuncie en mi nombre, yo le pediré cuenta.

Et si quelqu'un n'écoute pas mes paroles qu'il dira en mon nom, c'est moi qui lui en demanderai compte.

'And it shall be [that] whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require [it] of him.

Baina nik agindu gabeko mezua nire izenean adierazten edota jainko arrotzen izenean hitz egiten ausartzen den profeta hil egingo dute".

El profeta que tenga la presunción de pronunciar en mi nombre una palabra que yo no le haya mandado pronunciar, o que hable en nombre de dioses ajenos, ese profeta morirá.

Mais le prophète qui aura l'audace de dire en mon nom une parole que je ne lui aurai point commandé de dire, ou qui parlera au nom d'autres dieux, ce prophète -là sera puni de mort.

'But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die.'

"Beharbada, galdegingo duzue: "Nola jakin profetak adierazitako mezua Jaunaren hitza den ala ez?"

Tal vez digas en tu corazón: "¿Cómo conoceremos que esta no es palabra de Jehová?".

Peut-être diras -tu dans ton coeur: Comment connaîtrons -nous la parole que l'Éternel n'aura point dite ?

"And if you say in your heart, 'How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?' --

Hona: profetak Jaunaren izenean adierazia betetzen ez bada eta iragarri duena gertatzen ez, seinalea Jaunaren hitza ez dela; harrokeriak eraginda hitz egin du profeta delako horrek. Ez izan, beraz, beraren beldur.

Si el profeta habla en nombre de Jehová, y no se cumple ni acontece lo que dijo, esa palabra no es de Jehová. Por presunción habló el tal profeta; no tengas temor de él.

Quand ce que dira le prophète n'aura pas lieu et n'arrivera pas, ce sera une parole que l'Éternel n'aura point dite. C'est par audace que le prophète l'aura dite: n'aie pas peur de lui.

"when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that [is] the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him.

"Jaunak zuen Jainkoak erauzi egingo ditu zuei ematen dizuen lurraldeko herriak. Lurraldeaz jabetu eta bertako hiri eta etxeetan bizitzen jartzean,

"Cuando Jehová, tu Dios, destruya a las naciones cuya tierra Jehová, tu Dios, te va a dar, y tú las heredes y habites en sus ciudades y en sus casas,

Lorsque l'Éternel, ton Dieu, aura exterminé les nations dont l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne le pays, lorsque tu les auras chassées et que tu habiteras dans leurs villes et dans leurs maisons,

"When the LORD your God has cut off the nations whose land the LORD your God is giving you, and you dispossess them and dwell in their cities and in their houses,

hiru hiri aukeratuko dituzue Jaunak zeuen Jainkoak jabetzan emandako lurraldean.

apartarás tres ciudades en medio de la tierra que Jehová, tu Dios, te da para que la poseas.

tu sépareras trois villes au milieu du pays dont l'Éternel, ton Dieu, te donne la possession.

"you shall separate three cities for yourself in the midst of your land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess.

Horretarako, lurraldea hiru zatitan banatuko duzue eta hiri haietarako bideak egokituko, edozein hiltzailek nora ihes egin izan dezan.

Arreglarás los caminos y dividirás en tres partes la tierra que Jehová, tu Dios, te dará en heredad, a fin de que todo homicida huya allí.

tu établiras un plan des routes et tu partageras en trois le territoire de ton pays, celui que le SEIGNEUR ton Dieu te donne comme patrimoine; ainsi il y aura un lieu de refuge pour tout meurtrier.

"You shall prepare roads for yourself, and divide into three parts the territory of your land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, that any manslayer may flee there.

"Aurrez gorrotatzen ez duen norbait nahi gabe hiltzen duenak, hiri haietako batera egin dezake ihes, bizirik irauteko.

Este es el caso del homicida que podrá huir allí y salvar su vida: aquel que hiera a su prójimo sin intención y sin haber tenido enemistad con él anteriormente;

Cette loi s'appliquera au meurtrier qui s'enfuira là pour sauver sa vie, lorsqu'il aura involontairement tué son prochain, sans avoir été auparavant son ennemi.

" And this [is] the case of the manslayer who flees there, that he may live: Whoever kills his neighbor unintentionally, not having hated him in time past --

Demagun, adibidez, norbait lagunarekin basora zuhaitzak botatzera joaten dela eta, zuhaitza mozteko aizkorakada ematean, burdinak girtenetik ihes egin eta, laguna parean harrapaturik, hil egiten duela; horrelakoak hiri haietako batera ihes egin dezake eta bizia salbatu.

como el que va con su prójimo al monte a cortar leña, y al dar su mano el golpe con el hacha para cortar algún leño, se suelta el hierro del cabo, y da contra su prójimo y este muere. Aquel podrá huir a una de estas ciudades y salvar su vida:

Un homme, par exemple, va couper du bois dans la forêt avec un autre homme; la hache en main, il s'élance pour abattre un arbre; le fer échappe du manche, atteint le compagnon de cet homme, et lui donne la mort. Alors il s'enfuira dans l'une de ces villes pour sauver sa vie,

"as when [a man] goes to the woods with his neighbor to cut timber, and his hand swings a stroke with the ax to cut down the tree, and the head slips from the handle and strikes his neighbor so that he dies -- he shall flee to one of these cities and live;

Hiriak urrutiegi baleude, hildakoa mendekatzeko eskubidea duenak, amorruz bero-bero, atzetik segi, harrapatu eta hil lezake, nahiz eta hiltzaileak heriotzarik merezi ez, hildakoa aurrez gorrotatzen ez zuenez gero.

no sea que el vengador de la sangre, enfurecido, persiga al homicida, lo alcance por ser largo el camino, y lo hiera de muerte, cuando no debía ser condenado a muerte por cuanto no tenía enemistad con su prójimo anteriormente.

de peur que le vengeur du sang, échauffé par la colère et poursuivant le meurtrier, ne finisse par l'atteindre s'il y avait à faire beaucoup de chemin, et ne frappe mortellement celui qui ne mérite pas la mort, puisqu 'il n'était point auparavant l'ennemi de son prochain.

"lest the avenger of blood, while his anger is hot, pursue the manslayer and overtake him, because the way is long, and kill him, though he [was] not deserving of death, since he had not hated the victim in time past.

Horregatik agintzen dizuet hiru hiri horiek aukeratzeko.

Por tanto yo te mando que separes tres ciudades.

C'est pourquoi je te donne cet ordre: Tu sépareras trois villes.

"Therefore I command you, saying, 'You shall separate three cities for yourself.'

"Gainera, Jauna zeuen Jainkoa maitatuz eta haren bideetan bizitza osoan ibiliz, gaur ematen dizkizuedan agindu guztiok betetzen saiatzen bazarete, Jaunak zeuen Jainkoak, arbasoei zin egin bezala, zeuen lur-mugak hedatuko dizkizue eta agindutako lurralde osoa emango; orduan, aipatutako hiru hiriez gainera, beste hiru aukeratuko dituzue.

Y si Jehová, tu Dios, ensancha tu territorio, como lo juró a tus padres, y te da toda la tierra que prometió dar a tus padres

Lorsque l'Éternel, ton Dieu, aura élargi tes frontières, comme il l'a juré à tes pères, et qu'il t'aura donné tout le pays qu'il a promis à tes pères de te donner, -

"Now if the LORD your God enlarges your territory, as He swore to your fathers, and gives you the land which He promised to give to your fathers,

"lest innocent blood be shed in the midst of your land which the LORD your God is giving you [as] an inheritance, and [thus] guilt of bloodshed be upon you.

" You shall not remove your neighbor's landmark, which the men of old have set, in your inheritance which you will inherit in the land that the LORD your God is giving you to possess.

"No se tomará en cuenta a un solo testigo contra alguien en cualquier delito ni en cualquier pecado, en relación con cualquier ofensa cometida. Sólo por el testimonio de dos o tres testigos se mantendrá la acusación.

Un seul témoin ne suffira pas contre un homme pour constater un crime ou un péché, quel qu'il soit; un fait ne pourra s'établir que sur la déposition de deux ou de trois témoins.

" One witness shall not rise against a man concerning any iniquity or any sin that he commits; by the mouth of two or three witnesses the matter shall be established.

"then both men in the controversy shall stand before the LORD, before the priests and the judges who serve in those days.

"And the judges shall make careful inquiry, and indeed, [if] the witness [is] a false witness, who has testified falsely against his brother,
