Social dinner will consist on a typical rural Basque dinner served in a traditional Cider House.
Bus will depart from the conference venue at 20:00.
The dinner will take place in Sidreria Aburuza in the small town of Aduna.
The bus will depart at 10:00 from the conference venue to the city of Bilbao (102 km - 70 minutes)
Our first stop will be the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum, by architect Frank O. Gehry.
The museum hosts exhibits of The School of Paris 1900-1945 (Picasso, Gris, Braque, Chagall, Duchamp, Delaunay, Mondrian, Brancusi, Miro...), Andy Warhol: Shadows, Louise Bourgeois: The Cells and the impressive The Matter of Time by Richard Serra.
Close to the Guggenheim we find the Museo de Bellas Artes, containing a permanent exhibit with classic and modern works by Cranach, De Vos, Greco, Ribera, Zurbaran, Murillo, Goya, Gauguin, Chillida, Oteiza, Tapies, Barcelo, Bacon... and a fantastic temporary exhibit of Hyper Realistic Sculpture.
Delegates not interested in the Bellas Artes Museum may dedicate their time to walk across the river and enjoy the architecture of Bilbao (Calatrava, Pelli, Foster, Moneo, Siza, Legorreta, Stern, Krier, Ferrater,...) or visit the narrow streets of the old part of the city and enjoy some Pintxos (Basque tapas) and Txakoli (white Basque wine).
Bus will return to Donostia-San Sebastián at 19:00.
Bus and museum tickets are free for delegates registered before May 15th. Lunch is not included, but you will find bars and restaurants every step you take.
