The TSR Lab was founded in 1990 when Professor Juan Luis Ordiales, together with some telecommunication engineering students, began researching in the propagation of radio and television signals.

In 2007, the Basque Government granted us recognition as a Group A Excellence Research Group, and we have maintained this recognition in this category ever since.

The group currently consists of 18 professors, 6 PhD students, 2 contracted engineers and a variable number of students.

These are the research topics we are currently working on:

• Physical Layer design of wireless systems (Communications in industry, Signal processing and AI, Broadcast Core Network)
• Characterization of the propagation medium for PLC communications in the electrical grid.
