Health, Morbidity and Mortality Working Group Annual Meeting
The Annual meeting of the European Association for Population Studies, Health, Morbidity, and Mortality Working Group are an annual conference organized by the European Association for Population Studies (EAPS). This year, members of the OPIK research group of the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the UPV/EHU will be responsible, working together with the EAPS, Charles University of Prague, the Prague University of Economics and Business and the National Institue for Reserach on Socio-Economics, of its organisation at the Bizkaia Aretoa in September 27th.
The scientific focus of the conference focuses on measuring trends and inequalities in health, morbidity, and mortality, from a markedly demographic perspective, but at the same time with a strong interdisciplinary character. The specific theme of this congress will be “Love, Work, and Death” and will feature three Keynotes winners of the prestigious European ERC-grants: Anna Oksuzyan, Silvia Loi and Zachary van Winkle. In addition, there will be 23 long presentations and 31 hybrid presentations. The post will be displayed in the catering room 3 days, which will allow you to receive a lot of feedback during breaks and food.
In the conference we will receive about 80 worldclass researchers and experts in the sociodemographic study of health, morbidity and mortality, increasing by 60% the number of attendees compared to previous editions, which will represent a unique showcase for the demography of health and mortality that we developed in the Department.
