Assistant Professor of Microbiology at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (2018).
Her research activity is developed in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing within the group Candidiasis and other human infections associated with microbial biofilms (GIC 15 78 IT 990-16) classified as Type A Consolidated Research Group of the Basque University System. In the last 10 years she has directed seven master theses, has participated in 16 competitive projects, has published 20 articles and four book chapters, and has presented 78 communications to congresses. Her scientific production has an index h of 10 (ORCID: 0000-0002-0924-3696).

Predoctoral Fellowship for the Training of Researchers by the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (2007).
PhD in Biochemistry (2011) by the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU.
Regarding to disability, she has collaborated with the Disability Care Service at the UPV/EHU through talks in disability awareness-raising courses and has participated as a speaker at the II University and Disability Congress organized by the ONCE Foundation.
