She has a bachelor degree in Biological Sciences (1999) and PhD in Microbiology (2003). She is Associate Professor of Microbiology UPV/EHU (2015) at the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing. She is member of the research team «Candidiasis and other human infections associated with microbial biofilms», catalogued as a Consolidated Research Group of the Basque University System (www.ehu.es/canbio). She has participated in more than 20 research project and she is co-author of more than 35 publications.
