Methodology
Theoretical classes introducing students to different topics, given by tutors or tutor teams in charge of each particular subject area.Case studies, in which tutors will introduce the methods involved in particular cases, giving students the ability to use such methods in their own study and analysis. Group discussion of cases and proposals put forward by teaching staff or the students themselves. In workshops, basic theories and techniques will be introduced, allowing students to develop their training under continuous review from a conceptual point of view.Teaching methodology is centred around theoretical-practical activities and the development of student projects. The Master's programme has collaboration agreements in place with different institutions and businesses for student placements.Assessment
Students will be required to carry out a Master's thesis, in which practical projects will be backed up theoretically and conceptually by a written piece of work. A portfolio documenting the workings of the thesis will also be submitted, and students will need to defend their conclusions in a face-to-face viva.Particular emphasis will be placed on formal aspects of the practical piece and the references contained in the written work: the portfolio submitted must be correct, convincing, and compelling.Tutors will be on hand to ensure that students produce a satisfactory and rewarding final project. The following criteria will be assessed:- The student's ability to propose innovative solutions in a creative context: both in artistic practices, and in commercial creative projects such as innovation labs.- The student's grasp of adapting analysis and interpreting the different factors involved in the conception and realisation of the proposed objective.- The student's ability to design and develop practical aspects of projects, both individually and as part of a team.- Competence in identifying and resolving tasks involved in the management and production of artworks in technological and performance art.- The strength of documentary evidence given by the student to back up their proposal in the wider context of contemporary art.- The student's defence of their project during the formal presentation.- Number of credits ECTS : 12
