The center hosts 14 research groups, and each is assigned its own laboratory equipped with scientific equipment to carry out their research.

Throughout their trajectories, all research groups have been conducting quality research, of international renown in their specialty. Their works are published in top international journals; these groups have the most modern and updated equipment and have been able to attract public and private financial resources.

General Research Services (SGIker) of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) gather specialized units and laboratories, staffed with highly qualified technical staff and advanced technology scientific infrastructures.

In addition to the areas allocated to each of the Groups and Departments, the Center has research areas available to all users.

These areas have been equipped with basic scientific equipment, and are designed to optimize the resources of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), to avoid investments of the same type by different user groups of the Center.
