​Bilbao is today a comfortable city for the people that live here and an attractive city for the visitors. The Symposium Organizing Committee would like attendees to perceive the atmosphere of the city and enjoy their stay in Bilbao. To this purpose, the events will take place in three different areas of the city: the old, the classical and the modern parts of Bilbao.

The building originally housed the Bank of Spain. Today it is devoted to the spreading of the university culture to the Basque society.

In the cocktail, attendees will have the opportunity to taste the typical pintxos of the Basque Country, prepared by Café Iruña. The delicious pintxos will be accompanied by typical wines (Rioja and txakoliña) and soft drinks. After the event, strolling around the streets of the old town is highly recommended.

The theatre, which has a modernist facade, belongs to the city council and has been adapted to house different activities, in addition to theatrical performances. In its 5^th floor, we can find the 5ªPlanta Restaurant, where the conference dinner will take place. A gourmet set menu, based on modern, creative cuisine will be served. 

The symposium venue is located in the modern area of Bilbao, near the Guggenheim Museum. Lunches will be served in the first floor of Torre Iberdrola (Restaurante Torre Iberdrola), within a few meters distance from the symposium venue. Attendees must show their symposium credentials (badges) to enter the restaurant and take their lunch tickets (in the badge card holder).

Although distances in Bilbao are short, the proximity of tram and metro stations will allow symposium attendees to move around the city easily.
