During that course, he also carried out his Final Degree Project in Chemistry under the supervision of doctors Olivares and Zuloaga. He developed a method for the analysis of contaminants of emerging concern (CECs) in fish muscle, work that obtained distinction as grade. That same academic year, he graduated in Chemistry with the mentions of "Graduated with excellence" and "Best academic record". During the 2019/20 academic year, he obtained the "Extraordinary Prize in Chemistry" and completed the master's degree in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology. His master's thesis was carried out under the direction of doctors Olivares and Zuloaga and consisted in the development of a method for the analysis of CECs in human and commercial milk samples.

In January 2021, he obtained a predoctoral fellowship from the Basque Government to carry out his thesis about the evaluation of human exposome through high resolution mass spectrometry. He has also contributed to national and international congresses (IkerGazte and SETAC) with oral communications and posters, as well as being involved in several scientific outreach activities (Zientzia Astea and Udako Euskal Unibertsitatea). Regarding teaching activity, he has helped in the subject Experiments in Analytical Chemistry in the Chemistry Degree. He was also a member of the "Talentia Programme" of "Bizkaia talent" directed to the final year university students with best academic records in the academic course 2018/2019.
