ICP-MS
Perkin Elmer NexION 300 ICP-MS Spectrometer with a quartz cyclonic spray chamber, triple cone interface, and a Perkin Elmer S10 autosampler. The ICP-MS can work in two modes of operation: dynamic reaction cell (DRC) or collision cell (KED).
Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) is a very sensitive, multi-element, laboratory technique that allows for an efficient approach to measuring multiple elements per sample at low concentrations. In Collision Mode using KED, the instrument offers conventional collision cell capability using Kinetic Energy Discrimination (KED). By using non-reactive gas, such as helium, Collision mode removes many of the simple solvent- and argon-based polyatomic spectral interferences, which makes it ideal for quantitative analyses of a wide range of different samples.
