BEATRIZ FERNANDEZ FERNANDEZ

Professor at the Department of Linguistics and Basque Studies at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Director of the research group Basque and Beyond. She obtained her PhD in 1997 with a dissertation entitled Egiturazko kasuaren erkaketa euskaraz [Structural case checking in Basque] at the same university. Corresponding member of Euskaltzaindia, the Royal Academy of the Basque Language. She has published several research papers and books on Basque and its morphosyntactic variation. She has also edited some collective volumes of scientific papers. She combines her research with scientific dissemination.
