PhD in Education from the University of Deusto; Postgraduate in The competences in education: teaching, programming and evaluation, by the Ramón Llull University. Master's Degree in teacher training in Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Vocational Training and Language Teaching, Specialty: Educational Orientation from the University of Deusto. Master in Human Resources Planning and Management. Degree in Pedagogy, from the University of Deusto.

After founding a social platform for collaborative work and support among teachers, she continued her development in the editorial field working in the Anaya Group as Editor in the Department of Education of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. Later, she began to dedicate herself to university teaching, being a professor at the University of Deusto in the Faculty of Psychology and Education, in Bilbao.

She is currently an associate professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and a member of the Department of Didactics and School Organization. She has taught courses to active teachers on Educational Innovation, Curriculum Development, Skills Evaluation, Teaching for Understanding and Visible Thinking among others.

She is a member of WEBLEARNER research group. Her research activities link Educational Technology with the areas of Teaching for Understanding and Visible Thinking. In addition, her interests are focused on curriculum development, self-regulation of learning and educational innovation processes.
