DDs (2000) and PhD in Dentistry (2008), He is associate professor in the Department of Stomatology II since 2010. Accredited as Associate Professor (UNIQUAL 2010) and Professor Doctor (ANECA 2016). He has taught in the Master of Oral Pathology of the UPV/EHU since its creation in 2006. He has been a member of the Scientific Commission of the Spanish Society of Oral Surgery since 2009. Currently, he is a member of the Board of directors of the Spanish Society of Oral Surgery (SECIB) and member of the Scientific Commission of the College of Dentists Bizkaia.
He has worked as a dentist in the private sector since 2000, dedicating himself to general dentistry and implant prosthetics.
He has collaborated in 12 research projects on oral cancer, oral medicine, oral pathology and microbiology.
He is the author of more than 30 articles published in national and international journals and more than 80 communications in national and international congresses. Collaborating author in 4 books of the specialty. He has received 7 awards for scientific publications / communications.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of the journals Medicina Oral, Patología Oral y Cirugía Bucal and Journal of Clinical and Experimental Dentistry. Lecturer in many conferences, congressess and events on Medicine and Oral Pathology.
