AITOR ARGOTE IBAÑEZ

Graduated and, previously, Diplomated in Economic and Business Sciences (1989 and 1987) by EHU/UPV, in whose Faculty of Economics and Business he has been teaching as a part-time bilingual associate professor since 1992, simultaneously with professional practice in other entities from the public and private companies in different sectors of activity and accompanied by a postgraduate course in accounting from 1994 to 1996.



Since 2005 he is CEO-General Manager of MERCABILBAO, S.A., managing company of the central wholesale market in the north of the Iberian Peninsula. This food city brings together more than a hundred companies, which employ a thousand people, being a powerful economic engine in the economy of the Basque Country, where another sector of reference is aeronautics, in whose development he participated from the beginning (1990 -2005) of the consolidated ITP Aero GROUP. Responsibilities of administrative, accounting, fiscal, financial or treasury, both at the plant, corporate or, in the subsidiary in Mexico, as CFO, shape his performance in this sector, which came from the consultancy in ARTHUR YOUNG and previously of TREASURU Department in the government of Bizkaia.



Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to take part in forums, congresses and courses, both as a speaker and participant, as well as belonging to associations and business governing boards, which, together with the teaching and professional performance, complete his list of competencies.
