Description and Contextualization of the SubjectToggle Navigation

The Business Administration subject is a subject that seeks to complete and strengthen the knowledge of business organization acquired in the previous Introduction to Business, both subjects belonging to the Business Management subject. The contents and competencies of this subject are completely aligned with the objectives of the Business Economics module, particularly with those that seek to guarantee in the future graduate the mastery of the language and the key concepts of the doctrine of administration and the tools of the that the managerial work is made up of. The knowledge delivered to the graduate will be of a sufficiently general nature to find application in a wide variety of business or organizational realities. The skills that will be acquired to a greater or lesser degree through passing this subject are those that are expected to be found in professionals dedicated to the design, implementation and optimization of management systems, as well as in those dedicated to strategic planning tasks and control.

COMPETENCES:



C1 Analyze the business reality from each of its areas (physical, economic and administrative) to contextualize

adequately the problems that may arise in each of them and address them adequately through

management tools. Specific competence that links with competences G001, G002 and G003 of the

degree.



C2 Adequately diagnose the situation of organizations from the organizational point of view, using

models and ideas specific to the theory of organization, to recognize the aspects in which actions can be carried out

directives to improve the functioning of the company. Competence of a specific nature that links with the

G001, G002 and G004 competencies of the degree.



C3 Design valid solutions by correctly selecting and applying the business management tools that are used.

R3 Use of basic business management tools when carrying out teamwork. Related to

Teaching will be in person, both the master sessions and the practices and seminars.



In the master classes (30 hours) the student will carry out the following activities:

In the classroom practices (26 hours) the student will carry out the following activities:



- Will read and comment on texts



- Will solve written exercises

In the seminars (4 hours) the student will carry out the following activities:



- Will verbally defend work done in a group, using office tools.

The evaluation system proposed for the ORDINARY call for this subject is the following:



Continuous evaluation system:



Written tests that will evaluate the skills worked on in the master classes. Each of these tests

will deal with the contents of approximately half of the subject and will seek to evaluate the development of the

C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 competencies. The dates of these tests will correspond, with the logic

calendar and organization limitations that may exist, with the seventh and fourteenth weeks of the semester

in force.



Any other task that the teacher considers appropriate for learning.



The student will be graded with the arithmetic mean of the results obtained in these tests. Failure to attend one of

These tests will mean obtaining a grade of zero in it.



Students will be allowed to use a conventional calculator (non-alphanumeric) when carrying out those

tests that require calculation operations.

a) In the case of continuous evaluation



Students who wish to renounce continuous evaluation and, with it, the call, in accordance with the provisions of art. 12.2 of the regulations governing the evaluation of the students of this university, may

do so by submitting a writing to the teacher at any time during the course, and as long as it is before the

time and date established for the completion of the final evaluation test. A form will be provided for

completing the resignation through the Egela platform and also on paper at the time of the final test.
