Degree in Law (1996) and Master in European Studies (1999), University of Deusto. Specialist in International Relations (2000) and PhD (International Public Law Programme, 2004), University of the Basque Country. Also, PhD (European Union Programme, 2023), UNED.
Academic secretary (2005-2006, 2007-2009, 2014-2015) and director (2015-2019) in the ‘Evaluation of Business Management and Innovation’ University Department. Assistant director (2006-2007 and 2009) in the University School of Business Studies of Bilbao.
He taught several topics of Law in the Business Sciences Diploma (1998-2008) and Contemporary Economy in the Business Management degree. Now he teaches Introduction to Law and Foreign Trade. He also teaches European Union in the Human Sciences degree.
Author of thirty academic articles, nine books (as author, co-author, or coordinator), fourteen chapters and numerous communications to different congresses and conferences. His lines of research on the European Union are, on the one hand, the institutional system and legislation process, on the other, environmental policy and climate action. He has obtained economic aid for research five times. Two six-year period of research activity recognized by CNEAI.
