Graduated in Physical Education and SportsSciences in 1991 (with the best academic record of the year) from the University of the Basque Country, where she has been teaching since then. She is in charge of the core subject Body Expression and Dance as well as other subjects related to Gymnastics.

She also has a dregree in Primary Education from the Teacher Training College Begoñako Andra Mari and has been trained in Traditional Dance, Ballet and Contemporary Dance.

She has been a member of the Academic Board since its foundation and has participated in several committees such as the Practicum Committee, the Commission for Academic Affairs and the Committee to design the new Curriculum of which she was the Secretary from 1995 to 1997.

She has written and collaborated in writing informative articles and book chapters, and has contributed to National and International Conferences. She has organized training courses for University teachers. Her research is mainly focused on the Teaching of Physical Education, specifically on the analysis of the methodological approaches to the teaching/learning process of Dance, as well as its presence and significancewithin the Physical Education National Curriculum. She is also interested in researching the different aspects of the development of creativity in motion within the field of Body Language.
