Scientific knowledge increasingly shows that the organised regular practice of Physical Activity, along with the development of functional movements and habits, is the most effective and socially beneficial way to achieve a better and healthier quality of life. This fact, combined with the increasing longevity of modern societies and the availability of more time and resources for leisure, has significantly increased the demand for Physical Activity and Sports professionals at every stage of human life.

Similarly, the increasing significance of school, federated, recreational, or high-performance sports, along with their social relevance and economic impact, requires the training of experts across various professional profiles needed in this emerging and innovative field.

The Degree in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences will equip you with essential knowledge in the fundamentals and functions of human motor skills, sports training, as well as the psychological, social, and mechanical aspects of physical exercise. It will also cover the application of new technologies in sport. Starting in the third year, you will be able to take courses and specialise in one of the following specialisms or pathways: Management and Recreation in Physical-Sports Activities, Physical Activity for Health and Well-being, and Sports Training.

And you won't leave the faculty without applying the knowledge you have gained. In the fourth year, you will complete a mandatory work placement (at federations, sports clubs, foundations, public institutions, educational centres, etc.) to gain further experience in one of these four areas: teaching, management, initiation and sports performance.

To gain access to this degree, you must pass specific physical tests to demonstrate a basic level of motor competence, along with previous experience and regular participation in sports. This ensures the proper execution of the activities necessary for acquiring the skills outlined in the degree.
