The speeding progress of modern technologies has become an evident challenge for the translation and interpreting field. In the XI Conference of the AIETI (Spanish for “Iberian Association of Translation and Interpreting Studies”), it is our goal to exchange experiences and thoughts on the impact that machine translation and artificial intelligence have had on the theory and practice or our discipline.

With the conviction that change will make us stronger, it is our pleasure to invite you to Vitoria-Gasteiz to be part of this meeting that we foresee as an opportunity for learning and partaking.

Update

Registration for the 11th AIETI Conference is now open. Early-bird registration closes on 10 April and the very last day to register is 8 May 2024.
Here is a preliminary draft of the program. We encourage you to take a look before arranging your trip to Vitoria-Gasteiz.
There will be an in-person workshop on artificial intelligence applied to research on translation and interpreting during the congress. This workshop is exclusive for AIETI’s XI Conference’s attendees. It will have a minimal fee and there will be limited spots. You can find more information here.
