Description
In accordance with Royal Decree 99/2011 regulating new doctoral teaching, the new legislation envisages the possibility of including the words "International Doctorate" in the title, replacing the term "European Doctorate" used until now. To obtain it, the student must have performed a stay lasting a minimum of three months outside Spain, studying or conducting research work. The mobility of the students is highly recommended for a minimum period of three months, provided that the funding is sufficient. In this sense, the students should apply for financial aid for mobility stays, travel expenses and national and international doctoral grants. In particular, they will receive information on the possibilities of applying for mobility aid offered by the Ministry of Education and Culture for doctoral programs with a quality award, which have until now financed the mobility of our students. The Academic Committee of the Doctoral Program will encourage these stays by means of the inter-university agreements and conventions which are already established and through the academic networks of the research groups themselves.
Results
It is highly advisable to carry out this mobility activity in order to promote and improve the intellectual maturity of the students and their research resources, although the activity will only be compulsory for researchers who wish to obtain the International Doctorate Award. The evaluation will address the particular cases of part-time students, who may divide their stay abroad according to their work needs and with the agreement of their thesis tutor and/or director. The Academic Committee of the Doctoral Program, together with the Doctoral Schools or the corresponding Vice-Rectorates of the participating universities, will draw up a plan or information protocol to perform the different mobility activities.
Assessment systems
Certificate for the stay and the benefit gained from issued by the host university or institution. It will be included in the Doctoral Student Activity Document. The evaluation will address the particular cases of part-time students, who may divide their stay abroad according to their work needs and with the agreement of their thesis tutor and/or director.

Description
Each of those responsible for the lines of research of the program will organize, at least once per term, a three-hour seminar with the participation of the doctoral students working on the lines. All the students from the 7 universities must obligatorily submit a report which will be submitted for discussion in each academic year (in the case of part-time students, one report every two academic years). The basic contents of the period of research of this program, in addition to the conducting of the preparatory work for the doctoral thesis, are the training activities and research seminars held at each of the universities which offer the doctorate. At these seminars both the host and visiting students present and submit for debate the development and results of their respective ongoing research. Participation in this activity is an obligatory requirement prior to the defence of the doctoral thesis. The participation of the students is also encouraged at the doctoral seminars at the other universities offering the program, enabling them to complete their training and to assess the progress of their research in different academic contexts.
