BIOMAT offers a comprehensive program for PhD students from all over the world wishing to start a research career in a field related to advanced materials in a top research group.

We carry out both basic and applied research projects. These projects are often developed in collaboration with other research institutions (co-supervised PhD) or companies (industrial PhD).  

We offer competitive contracts (within the framework of our own research projects) and encourage interested candidates to apply for individual government grants.  

We encourage and support attendance at international conferences and workshops, as well as research stays in the framework of international collaborations with research centers and universities around the world.  

We offer rigorous scientific training, close supervision, regular scientific seminars with the aim of enabling a career path in academia or industry.
