Agustín Erkizia Olaizola

Curriculum Vitae

Agustin Erkizia Olaizola (b. Aizarnazabal, 1963) holds an undergraduate degree (1987) and a PhD in Economics and Business Science from the UPV/EHU. He is currently a tenured lecturer in the Financial Accounting and Accountancy Area of the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies (Donostia/San Sebastián). His rating under the Docentiaz programme is "excellent". He has written a book and co-authored three books and more than 25 scientific papers. He has taken part in 11 research projects and 18 R&D contracts with businesses and/or public administrations, and has co-directed a PhD thesis. He also headed the Herri Erakundeen Kudeaketa (HEREKU) postgraduate studies from 2002 to 2008. He was assistant head of the University College of Business Studies in Donostia/San Sebastian from 1997 to 2012. He was a member of the committee for aptitude tests for teaching in Basque at the UPV/EHU from 2002 to 2008. He is a member of the ETICOP-IT (Ethics in Communities of Practice) research group He currently chairs the Association for the Development of the Practicum and External Work Experience: Practicum Network: (REPPE), and is joint editor of the journal of the association: Revista Practicum. He is also a reviewer for the journal Revista de Docencia Universitaria (REDU). From 2013 to 2017 he was Head of External Relations for the Gipuzkoa Campus of the UPV/EHU. Since 2017 he has been Vice-Rector of the Gipuzkoa Campus of the UPV/EHU.
