Pre-enrolment, admission and place reservation for University Master’s degrees (2024-2025 academic year)

Pre-enrolment

MASTER'S DEGREES WITH FREE PLACES (docx, 25KB)

There are 3 pre-enrolment periods. Candidates may only select one Master’s course in each period:

  • From 4 to 27 March.
  • From 27 to 31 May.
  • From 4 to 8 July.

It is important to pre-enrol in the first period, since students who do so will have priority during place assignation.

Online platform (pre-enrolment, application status enquiry and place booking)

Only Master’s degrees that still have free places will be featured in the 2nd and 3rd pre-enrolment periods. Anyone who has not reserved a place in previous periods may pre-enrol.

The first round of place reservations takes place in May and enrolment takes place in July. The dates of the specific enrolment periods for each Master’s degree will be published on the Faculty websites.

Documents

General documents:

In addition to the documents outlined above, students with foreign degrees that have not been officially recognised must also submit:

  • A degree qualification issued by a university in an EHEA country:
    • Official university degree certificate, accompanied by a sworn translation into one of the official languages of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (Spanish or Basque). No sworn translation is required if said document is in English.
Candidates may pre-enrol without having completed their undergraduate degree providing they submit a signed statement attesting to the fact that they expect to complete their degree by the end of the current academic year (docx, 25 Kb). In such cases, admission will depend on their obtaining their degree and accrediting this fact to the satisfaction of the Faculty running the Master’s course, within the established enrolment period.
    • Document attesting to the fact that the qualification presented provides access to Master’s studies in their country. There are two ways of doing this:
      • By submitting a certificate issued by their university of origin stating that the degree they have earned qualifies them to pursue a Master’s degree in that country.
      • By submitting a statement of justification, written and signed by the candidate, providing information sources (websites, etc.) that accredit this fact, along with an affidavit stating that the documents submitted are authentic.
    • Official Academic Transcript of the degree providing access to the Master’s, accompanied by a sworn translation into one of the official languages of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country (Spanish or Basque). No sworn translation is required if said document is in English. The transcript must include a list of subjects taken and the grades obtained in each and must have been issued, stamped and signed by the academic authorities at the university of origin.
    • Declaration of Equivalence of Average Grades are issued by the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities for university studies carried out at foreign universities and can be requested remotely. If it is not provided, a 5 shall be considered as the average grade.
  • If the degree qualification has been issued by a university outside the EHEA, in addition to the previous documents, candidates must also ensure that:
    • Their official university degree certificate has been legalised/apostilled..
    • Their academic transcript includes the number of hours dedicated to each subject.
    • They have obtained authorisation for pursuing Master’s studies at the UPV/EHU from the UPV/EHU Postgraduate Commission. This authorisation is independent of the Master’s admissions process. This authorization is not required for access to the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology, which is governed by an internal procedure carried out in the Faculty of Psychology of the UPV/EHU. For more information, see the document entitled ‘Complete calendar and procedure (pdf, 1,7 Mb)’.

NOTE:

Students with a foreign qualification who wish to access the University Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology should address their application to the Faculty of Psychology at the following address: psikologia.fak.masterrak@ehu.eus, in accordance with that established by the UPV/EHU Postgraduate Commission and based on ‘Resolution of 16 November 2023, issued by the General Secretariat for Universities, publishing the Agreement of the University Council establishing recommendations for accrediting compliance with the requirements outlined in CNU Order/1309/2018 of 5 December, for accessing the Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology in the case of official university Psychology qualifications issued by a foreign university’. Procedure

Admission

Candidates can consult the Online platform (pre-enrolment, application status enquiry and place booking) on the dates specified in the calendar (pdf, 102 Kb) to see whether they comply with the requirements for admission onto a Master’s course or if their application has been rejected.

Following the publication of this list, the offer and place reservation process begins.

Candidates who meet the requirements can consult their status (admitted or on the waiting list) on the Online platform (pre-enrolment, application status enquiry and place booking) on the dates specified in the calendar (pdf, 102 Kb).

Successful candidates have three working days to reserve their place (see calendar). Failure to do so will result in the offer being withdrawn.

To confirm the reservation of their place on the course, candidates must pay the amount established as an advance on the enrolment fees (approximately €300). The amount paid to reserve a place will be subtracted later on from the total fees due; failure to pay the stated amount will result in the candidate in question losing their place on the course. In the event of the candidate not formalising their enrolment, the sum paid to reserve their place will not be refunded, except when failure to enrol is due to the candidate not fulfilling the access and/or admission requirements.
